There are few politicians in Washington D.C. who are, pound for pound, crazier than Maxine Waters.
The angry, vitriolic democrat has made her career as of late by blasting President Trump at every possible turn, with increasingly violent and troublesome rhetoric designed to antagonize her own liberal base. Waters is an elderly woman masquerading as a millennial miscreant, and she is lending undue credence to the anger and violence that the radical left has embraced.
Whether these are the trappings of a past-her-prime congresswoman, or the insane rants of an excitable “leader” is beyond the point. Waters has been pushing for action against the President, formally via impeachment for some unmentioned offense, and now informally in her latest call to “fight back”…whatever that means.
Trending: Science is Settled
“’And you think we’re going to stand back and let something like 45 take it away from us? I say no. I say impeach 45. Impeach 45. Impeach 45. Impeach 45,’ Waters chanted. ‘Forty-five, this message goes out from Orangeburg as it goes out from so many places in this country. We did not ask for a fight with you. We did not ask you to be president. We don’t know how you made it. But now that you’re there and you don’t understand that you don’t belong there, and we don’t intend for you to stay there, the fight is on.’
“Waters also took personal potshots at the president, of course.
“From the Post and Courier:
“‘Egged on by an eager crowd, Waters characterized Trump as “the most despicable, dishonorable human being this country’s ever seen.”’
“‘We don’t back down,’ she preached to a chorus of ‘amens.’ ‘We don’t walk away. We don’t give up. We’re not intimated. They may have the numbers, but guess what? We’re reclaiming our time.”‘”
All that was missing from Waters’ “rally” were the torches and pitchforks used by lynch mobs and Frankenstein-hunting mobs.
This latest galvanization of forces against the President is far from political. Instead, Waters and her fellow radical leftists are actively promoting a rebellion, not a resistance at this point. Nothing could please the democrats more than a violent uprising on the lawn of the White House, and the kindred spirits of James T. Hodgkinson are surely listening.
