California Congresswoman Maxine Waters has been on the front lines of the “resistance” battle against Donald Trump for some time, but not in any sort of valiant or poignant way.

Oh no, Mad Max has been living up to her reputation as one of the kookiest characters in all of the Beltway’s numerous soap operas.  Her anger and vitriol have perfectly encapsulated the reckless rage of the radical left, and her mob-forming mentality has been at the forefront of the mainstream media’s attempts to goad America into a New Civil War for the sake of ratings.

Now, much like the fabled Blues Brothers of another liberal locale, Maxine Waters is claiming that she’s on a “mission from God”.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) on Sunday told congregants of the First AME Church in Los Angeles that God has sent her to take on President Donald Trump.

Waters began her tirade by accusing the president of being intent on “taking America down,” rather than living up to his 2016 presidential slogan of “Make America Great Again.”

Then came the kicker:

The 79-year-old lawmaker concluded her speech claiming God anointed her to help lead the fight against the Trump administration. “You’ve gotta know that I’m here to do the work that I was sent to do, and as pastor said to me when I came in this morning, when God sends you to do something, you just do it!” she exclaimed. “So I have a message I’m going back to Washington tomorrow morning, I’m going to tell them pastor told me to come here and just do it!”

And this, folks, is where we need to be careful with how hard we roll our eyes.  I wouldn’t want any of our readers to suffer an ocular injury on account of Maxine Water’s bizarre claims.

Earlier this month, Waters encouraged her followers to form mobs and make sure that the President and the conservatives who follow him are made to feel “unwelcome” in America.
