According to KWTX News 1o, the Bellmead Police Department received a call about a murder that occurred in a trailer park in Bellmead, Texas.
A 21-year-old woman, Natasha Dauzet, was beheaded. Her alleged murderer and husband, Davie Dauzet, had put her head in the refrigerator of their mobile home. By the time police arrived he had barricaded himself, along with his two children (ages 1 and 2) and their mother’s decapitated body, inside as well.
An officer and a supervisor located the couple’s residence and spoke with both Davie and Natasha Dauzat outside the trailer.
“There was no indication from Natasha or Davie that either of them was in distress or in need of police intervention at that time. They both appeared calm and expressed their curiosity why the police were there.”
But that was not the case, as several hours later, the police were called. This time the response was quite different.
A hostage negotiator helped Dauzat eventually surrender to police. He was arrested and charged with murder and held in the McLennan County Jail on a $500,000 bond. The two children are now being taken care of by their aunt, Natasha’s oldest sister.
In response to the police investigator’s request, the state district judge sealed the documents detailing what information and evidence the investigation uncovered. According to Sergeant Kory Martin:
“The Texas Rangers and our (Violence against Women Act) detective do not want to hurt the integrity of this case or any information that is coming to the department by releasing investigatory details at this time.”
But why was Natasha beheaded?
Is there a specific reason why Davie used a serrated knife?
And isn’t the police department’s decision not to comment on a woman’s head being put in a refrigerator, suspicious?
