Making America Great Again Starts Here

First they took out God and prayer. Then they took out discipline. They started rewriting history and began giving out participation trophies. Now we have common core and safe spaces. The national public education system is not only broke, it is unrepairable.

The last nail in the public education coffin is transgender bathrooms. It is absolutely insane to put our children at risk, especially the girls, because of less than .3 percent (that’s less than one half of one percent) of the population, the vast majority of which are not even in the K-12 age range. Why would anyone in their right mind open the door to the girls’ locker-room to pre-pubescent boys? What’s next? Will the gym teacher divide the students into two teams, playing shirts against skins regardless of their God-given gender? If progressives are really looking for a war on women, then this is it.

If a public school doesn’t have the knowledge, ability, or common sense to know the difference between a male and a female and which bathroom they should use, they are definitely not equipped to teach my child. Especially in such areas as Science, Anatomy, and Health Education.

And, I don’t want any doctor operating on me who was taught biological attributes mean nothing, that what I “feel,” I have.

As the mother of a four-year-old girl, I will do everything in my power to keep her out of the public school system. It is a complete joke. It is time we control our schooling options like we are doing with our shopping options (including Target.) It is time to plummet the public education stock.

It is time to abandon government-run public education to alternative options that provide better results and safety for your children.

The good news is Americans do have choices other than public school. There are many private schools available run by churches and other organizations that are doing a much better job than the public schools. But even those aren’t the answer for everyone. As many of our other industries are going, it’s time to consider not only home schooling, but online schooling.

There are multiple excellent homeschooling programs available, with many utilizing the Internet as their means of teaching. Online colleges have become a very effective way for people to gain higher education on their time and with less expense. Hillsdale College provides free online courses on the Constitution for those of any age to take. This is what we should be demanding from our schools instead of cowering to a bunch of progressive, Leftist ideologues dead set on fundamentally changing our country.

Homeschooling and online programs give parents the freedom and liberty to decide the direction and content of their child’s education. People are standing up against Washington in the presidential election. It is time to continue that pushback in our children’s education.

I personally like former Congressman and presidential candidate, Ron Paul’s, online school. His program focuses on liberty, our country’s foundation, and the Constitution. There are others to choose from– anyone can find one online or even research and create their own curriculum. This is freedom, America. Embrace it. Tell Washington, D.C. that we are done with their indoctrination of progressive socialism and complete destruction of common sense. We are done with unelected bureaucrats pigeonholing our children into whatever mindless drone they choose.

When Obama signed the executive order threatening federal funds to schools that do not allow students to use any bathroom or shower they “feel” like, he forgot a few things. He doesn’t control the purse strings nor can he write law. He has no authority to arbitrarily withhold money. The House of Representatives is responsible for those decisions, as well as writing any laws pertaining to funding. (Wouldn’t a “Constitutional scholar” know this?)

If Congress honestly believes in the public school system, why do those elected always put their children in private schools, while denying Americans the same freedom? They claim it is for safety reasons. I say we do they same. It is time to protect our children from them.

Breaking away from the public school system is the real new civil rights movement. America cannot be great with children demanding safe spaces, welfare, and social justice while having no idea who or what they really are or what these terms even mean. How great can a country be great if its citizens can’t figure out what bathroom they should use?

Wake up, America. We started the revolution to take our country back. Stop making excuses and demand vouchers. Demand choices. Demand freedom. Your children’s, grandchildren’s and all coming generations’ futures depend on it.

But that’s my 2 cents.
