Lunatic Leftists Makes Push to Put LeBron James into The Trump Administration

The worlds of politics and entertainment seem to be absorbing one another at an incredible rate over the course of the last few years, thanks in no small part to Donald Trump.

President Trump, back in the days before he was President, was a cultural icon in his own right.  A successful businessman who embodied the spirit of the lighthearted tycoon, Trump was not only a success in the boardroom, but also an entertainment magnate, filling the void of “playboy billionaire” left behind by Hugh Hefner’s self-imposed sequestering in the grotto with the playmates.  (Not sure if you could have blamed the guy).

Trump, of course, went on to star in a number of reality television programs and make appearances on talk shows and in big budget Hollywood movies.  Heck, we was even “roasted” by Comedy Central at one point.

Nowadays, thanks to the successes of the celebrity President, there are a number of cultural icons who have thrown themselves into the political arena.  Oddly enough, however, there are even more celebrities that the leftists of America are looking to force into public service.

Trending: Science is Settled

LeBron James is apparently one of them.

Thousands have signed a petition to make NBA star LeBron James, the new U.S. Secretary of Education. This despite the fact that the three-time champion never went to college.

Thus far the petition has earned over ten thousand signatures, Fox News Cleveland reported.

The petition seems to be more an attack on current Secretary, Betsy DeVos, than it is an endorsement of James. The petition attacks DeVos as “a scandal-ridden Republican donor who shows an inexcusable dislike for public education, wants to gut protections for women and minorities, and has advocated for teachers to be armed in schools.”

James has been famously feuding with the President in recent days, receiving a particularly nasty response from POTUS that included the snarky line “I like Mike!” – referring to Michael Jordan, who LeBron James has been flippantly compared to in recent years as this younger generation of NBA fans believe that James could be the greatest basketball player of all time.
