Now that we are fully seated within the “Trump Era”, we are witnessing a number of new, and rather bizarre ways in which the radical left’s anger is manifesting itself.
They are no longer content with simply “resisting” the President in vocal opposition, (although they certainly haven’t quit that either), and they have moved into the realm of serious, physical, literal action in an effort to delegitimize Donald J. Trump.
Of course, one of the biggest bones that they have to pick with the President is his stance on illegal immigration, with the left furious over the fact that we have any border laws at all. If it were up to them, society would be a wide open, free for all of non-existent borders and free social services in any country you walk your way into. To prove their point, the left has taken the anger and passion of their exploitative gun-grabbing push and nudged their constituents into the immigration debate, carrying with them all of the crazy inherent in the democratic party.
One such fringe leftist is New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who is now being cited by Border Patrol as himself an illegal border crosser.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border and violated both Mexican and U.S. immigration laws, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The allegations from CBP were outlined in a letter obtained by the Associated Press that documents the alleged crime that took place when de Blasio visited a holding facility for illegal alien children near El Paso, Texas, on June 21, but was denied entry. The AP reports:
“According to the letter, a uniformed Border Patrol agent noticed a group on the Rio Grande River flood plain south of the Tornillo, Texas, Port of Entry, taking photos of the holding facility. The agent asked if anyone from Border Patrol or public affairs was there to authorize their presence. A New York Police Department inspector said no, according to the letter, and when the agent asked the group how they arrived, they pointed to Mexico.
“The agent told them they’d crossed the border illegally and asked them to remain there while he got a supervisor and took them to an official crossing for an inspection per federal law, according to the letter. But the group disregarded the order and drove back to Mexico, according to the letter.”
De Blasio’s office offered up a fairly standard response to the accusations, putting the blame on the Border Patrol agents under whom the mayor’s team claimed to be “directly” supervised.
I don’t know about you, but this feels like a golden opportunity for President Trump to make an example of someone.
