There is no accounting of the behavior of the delusional democrats in 2018, who are openly exploiting tragedy in order to push a political agenda.
Such is predictably the case with last week’s atrocious act of violence by 19 year old Nikolas Cruz in Parkland, Florida. Cruz, a mentally ill teen who had been reported to police and the FBI roughly 40 times, had a premeditated plan to visit his former high school and kill, as evidenced by some of the comments he was making around the internet that the failing FBI decided to ignore protocol in handling.
When it came time to do the killing, Cruz chose to use a firearm, likely due to the lack of resistance that he would face in a “gun free” school zone. This, of course, had liberals in a tizzy regarding gun rights and “assault” weapons, while they clearly ignored the fact that Cruz’s actions would have been carried out, regardless of the chosen tool.
In order to cash in on this tragedy, CNN sprung into action, hosting a Second Amendment town hall before even all of the victims of this horrible tragedy were laid to rest, inviting a contingent of survivors, parents of victims, NRA spokesmen, and politicians like Marco Rubio.
What ensued was a farcical attack on the right to bear arms that CNN purposefully staged for conflict, hoping to effectively partner with Nikolas Cruz in order to sell advertising.
The choice of guests not only ensured a combative, entertaining debate, but also made certain that the pro-Second Amendment voices would be drowned by the cacophony of liberal lunacy planted by these television producers.
The radical leftists weren’t leashed at all, and their subsequent behavior will forever be considered a stain on this horrific tragedy.
“The crowd at a Wednesday CNN town hall on the Parkland shooting booed when NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch brought up a rape survivor who supports the Second Amendment.
“Kimberly Corban was raped when she was under 21 years old and is an outspoken supporter of the Second Amendment, saying she wishes she could have tried to fight off her attacker with a firearm.
“Loesch referenced Corban’s case as a reason why the NRA is reluctant to support a measure that raises the minimum age at which people can buy guns to 21.
“’And one of the things that she speaks out about loudly now is how she wished she would have had the ability to have some sort — a shotgun, whatever it was, to be able to defend herself,’ Loesch explained, before being cut off by the crowd’s boos.”
Marco Rubio was similarly shouted down when attempting to explain that the legal age changes being proposed for rifle ownership are a confusing mess of bureaucracy that simply muddles the already complex set of laws surrounding young hunters and target shooters.
Make no mistake about it; there was no greater purpose here for CNN. What they simply hoped to accomplish was a contentious and bitter dredging of the emotional chasm of this tragedy for the explicit sake of ratings and advertising revenue.
