At the culmination of a fireworks display in the Mediterranean city of Nice, a Muslim terrorist drove a large semi-truck through a throng of holiday revelers. By the end of his mile long assault, at least 77 innocent victims were dead and more than 50 others were injured.

The attack in Nice, France, began when an occupant of the truck shot into the crowd and then drove for 2 kilometers along the pavement of the Boulevard des Anglais, the main street in Nice, Estrosi told CNN affiliate BFM-TV. He said police later found firearms, explosives and grenades in the truck…

Preliminary information from French officials is that there was one individual in the truck, according to a U.S. law enforcement official briefed on the attack. The individual, a male, was killed by police, according to the official…

An American witness at the scene said the driver of the truck was mowing bodies over, and that he appeared to accelerate as he hit those bodies. The witness said he saw only the driver. He heard gunfire as he ran away, but did not know its source. It seemed like an accident at first, but it became apparent very quickly that it was deliberate, the witness told CNN.

From the UK’s Telegraph:

The local newspaper, Nice-Matin, reports that the man driving the truck was a 31-year-old Nice resident of Tunisian origin.

The truck driver was said to have shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ — God is greatest — before being shot dead by police.

Here’s what Donald Trump had to say about the attack:

It’s probably, possibly but if it is indeed radical Islamic terrorism, it’s about time that he would say so, okay? It’s about time because you are never going to solve this problem unless you are going to define it and it would be about time — people would sigh with relief if he would say it but he doesn’t want to say it. So let’s see what happens, I mean, it just happened now and let’s see who did it and what it’s all about but if it is indeed again like in Orlando, like in San Bernardino, like in Paris, like in the World Trade Center, like so many other places — if it’s radical Islamic terrorism, he ought to say it…
And then not let people into our country, Greta. We are taking people into our country, we don’t know who they are. We can’t let people from terrorist states and all of these people pour into our country because, you know, it only takes one or two people to create havoc and we’re allowing thousands of people, we have no idea who they are. We have to be tough. Look, somebody said it the other day that Trump is the law and order candidate. I’m the border candidate, I’m the great trade candidate, we’ll make great trade deals, but I am indeed the law and order candidate and Hillary is weak and ineffective. She’s been there – she created ISIS with her stupid policies. So if this turns out to be yet another attack from radical Islam, then we are going to have to take — our president is going to have to finally admit and do something about it…
It is so sad to see, Greta. It’s so sad and it’s constant. It’s constant. We don’t do anything about it. We’re weak and we’re weakly led and ineffective. Thank you, Greta, very much.

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
