Leaks Prove Email Scandal was All About Corruption at Clinton Foundation

Is this the major theme of the 2016 campaign thus far? The idea that the Donald Trump is the only thing saving Hillary Clinton from herself? That’s what the senior political columnist at the National Journal Ron Fournier seems to believe.

Fournier was a guest on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Wednesday morning when he bemoaned the fact that all of America was missing the most important storylines of this campaign because of Mr. Trump’s frequent controversies.

In particular Fournier was speaking about the continuing Clinton email scandal and the latest revelations about what her hidden emails may actually uncover.

People very close to the Clintons, including a source who’s working with the Clintons for more than two decades who told me the week that the New York Times exposed this rogue server that what this was all about was the foundation, that — the blurring of the lines between their political and professional lives. That’s what was in the emails, was sort of — look for the pay to play. This kind of favor-giving…

This should be blowing everything out of the water, and it’s not, because Donald Trump yesterday suggested that Hillary Clinton should be shot for her political views. This is a guy who has talked about violence, in the past, before, whose explanation for his remarks yesterday do not hold water, as you’ve been talking about for the last hour and ten minutes. And until and unless he condemns violence against his opponent, and apologizes for his remark, he is, in fact, encouraging violence. that is what he’s doing. And that is totally unacceptable and that is the biggest story today, and that should be. There’s no equivalence between these two stories.

Do you get the depth of the scandal that Fournier is unmasking here?

He is making clear that Hillary Clinton used a private email server because she knew that the information that passed across the server would clearly prove the corruption and lawlessness that was ongoing at the Clinton Foundation during Mrs. Clinton’s time as Secretary of State.

“Follow the money.” That apocryphal phrase, attributed to Watergate whistle-blower “Deep Throat,” explains why the biggest threat to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential dreams is not her emails. It’s her family foundation. That’s where the money is: corporate money, foreign money, gobs of money sloshing around a vanity charity that could be renamed “Clinton Conflicts of Interest Foundation.”

What about the emails? Hillary Clinton’s secret communications cache is a bombshell deserving of full disclosure because of her assault on government transparency and electronic security. But its greatest relevancy is what the emails might reveal about any nexus between Clinton’s work at State and donations to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation from U.S. corporations and foreign nations.

If Fournier is right, and the constant drip of information seems to confirm his comments, then Hillary Clinton and her team are criminals of the highest order who have sold the welfare of the American people and our nation to the highest bidders.

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
