Today marked an enormous milestone in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s fishing expedition…if you’re inclined to believe the democratic drivel that dominates the airwaves.
In reality, and as we’ve already pointed out, Michael Flynn’s guilty plea is a bizarre maneuver by the former Trump staffer, and the severity of the charges are so light that legal scholars are not inclined to believe that Flynn will serve any jail time. And for a supposed target as big as Flynn to get such a light sentencing possibility, there couldn’t be much that Mueller expects out of his testimony.
Still, the left is celebrating as though they invented time travel and made Barack Obama clones to rule the country for the rest eternity.
Even James Comey, the incompetent former FBI Director who failed to prosecute Hillary Clinton over her private email server, seemed to get in on the action.
“As news of former National Security Advisor Micheal Flynn’s guilty plea broke Friday morning, ousted FBI director James Comey appeared to mock the Trump administration on Twitter.
“The tweet is the latest in a long-running war of words raging between Comey and Trump since the president dismissed Comey this past May. Comey’s firing, apparently at the advice of White House adviser and Presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, is broadly understood to have led to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s decision to appoint Special Counsel Robert Mueller. It was Mueller’s investigation that yielded Flynn’s guilty plea for lying to the FBI about phone calls with Russian officials during the presidential transition.
“Comey quoted the Old Testament’s Book of Amos and linked to a picture of the Potomac River’s Great Falls near Washington, DC:
There is little room for the belief that Comey’s tweet was entirely coincidental, given how adamant the former FBI chief has been regarding his disdain for the Trump administration.
Comey, like a vast majority of Washington swamp creatures, had been attempting to derail the Trump agenda from day one all the way up to his termination at the hands of the President for his lack of effort in previous investigations.
