As terror struck in the UK this week, radical Islamic group ISIS was preparing for a much larger operation to coincide with Ramadan…and their orders are absolutely chilling.
The Manchester Arena attack earlier in the week proved to the world that ISIS and their radical Islamic jihad has moved into the next echelon of terroristic actions. The suicide bombing was despicable enough, with nails and bolts packed into the device to inflict maximum damage via shrapnel, but the targeting of this particular demographic was downright chilling.
The ISIS operative’s target were concertgoers who were vacating a well attended concert by pop start Ariana Grande. Grande’s audience is made up of primarily teenage and pre-teen young women, meaning that ISIS chose this target as a way of demonstrating their hatred for non-Muslim, “western” women and young girls. Their message was clear: Young women who partake in the sort of girl-power ethos of a young pop star’s concert deserve to die.
Now, as if that weren’t wicked enough, the terror group has issued a new worldwide threat this week in which their operatives are to wage a global war during the holiday of Ramadan, attacking non-muslims “in their homes”.
“The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), in its annual call for violence during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, has urged jihadists and sympathizers to wage an ‘all-out war’ in the West, stressing the targeting of noncombatants.
“Through encrypted Telegram messaging app channels and YouTube, ISIS has disseminated its Ramadan propaganda in the form of an audio-accompanied slideshow.“The group’s 2017 Ramadan call for violence is titled ‘Where Are the Lions of War?’
“Specifically, the message urges jihadists to carry out attacks in the United States, Russia, and across Europe.
“’Your targeting of the so-called innocents and civilians is beloved by us and the most effective, so go forth and may you get a great reward or martyrdom in Ramadan,’ declaresISIS in the message.
“’Attack them in their homes, their markets, their roads and their forums,’ the group adds.”
This blatantly horrific threat comes as both Ramadan and the American Memorial Day weekend are upon us, doubling the dose of symbolism that could be shattered by a radical Islamic attack.
A credible threat has already been established as targeting Las Vegas this weekend, setting the desert oasis on edge as flocks of tourists gather for the long weekend. The Department of Homeland Security has vowed to expand the presence of authorities in the city in the wake of the terrorism possibility.
