Judge Kavanaugh is being scrutinized by the media and the Senate in a way that no one could defend against.
Jesus said, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Matthew 7:1-3)
We believe every Senator should be investigated as thoroughly as they are investigating Judge Kavanaugh to determine if there is anything in their background that would disqualify them from public office. It doesn’t only have to do with sexual allegations. Everything should be on the table – from bad business dealings to abuse of political power.
Kavanaugh has undergone six FBI investigations since 1993. Nothing turned up in any of them that would disqualify him from being appointed to the Supreme Court or any other court.
Could the Senators who will vote on his confirmation pass such an examination? I doubt it.
It’s time that we require such an investigation of all the Senators. Anything found in the investigation should be made public.
Let’s take it a step further. There should be an opportunity for anyone who has been unjustly affected by any Senator to report that abuse to the Department of Justice.
If you or anyone you know has been abused by any Senator or House member, let us know here.
