For an unbearable series of months, the United States has been forced to listen to the incessant whining of the liberal left over the election of populist President Donald Trump.
Trump, who made a fool of democratic diva Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, was an absolute revelation for the leftists of the nation, who no longer could claim the sort of empirical stranglehold on culture that they believed the mainstream media gave them. The American conservative awakening was now in full force, and the nation was returning to an era of traditional and patriotic domination.
Clinton and her cronies, however, could not sit idly by, lest the left was to be privy to their absolute ignorance of their plight. You see, democratic voters are merely sheep to these denizens of the DNC, to be toyed with and ignited only in times of electoral dysfunction.
So, the left concocted a plan to somehow prove that Donald Trump was some sort of Kremlin spy or KGB agent, whose election was only made possible by his campaign’s collusion with the Russian government. Of course, evidence of this bizarre conspiracy theory has been hard to come by, specifically due to the fact that there wasn’t any in existence.
Now after months of watching Special Counsel Robert Mueller do his best Gomer Pyle impersonation, the left is finally getting the indictments they’ve been waiting for…except for the fact that none the Trump administration is being charged.
“A federal grand jury has indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities for alleged interference in the 2016 presidential elections, during which they boosted the candidacy of Donald Trump, special counsel Robert Mueller‘s office said Friday.
“The indictment says that a Russian organization called the Internet Research Agency sought to wage ‘information warfare’ against the United States by using fictitious American personas and social media platforms and other Internet-based media.”
As for those on the left who believe that “more is coming”? Rod Rosenstein will clear that up for you.
“Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said the defendants created hundreds of accounts using fake personas on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to advance their scheme.
“Rosenstein said there is no allegation in the indictment that any American was a knowing participant in the scheme, nor is there any allegation that the scheme affected the outcome of the election.”
This is the part where we dust off our hands, crack a sly smile in the general direction of the liberal left, and move on.
Although, of course, there’s no telling whether or not the liberals will even accept these results that they demanded. There’s always the possibility that we’ll be stuck with this incredibly imbecilic Russian conspiracy theory for the rest of Trump’s 7 years in office.
