It’s not often that a bleeding heart liberal utters something that the free press of the right can actually get behind, but we have to give credit where credit is due.
Given that the lunatic left has become increasingly unhinged in the months since Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, we expected that folks like Maher would be first in line to grab his proverbial pitchfork and organize a lynch mob against our Commander in Chief. In places like Berkeley, California liberals are literally rioting at the very idea of conservative speakers sharing their opinions at speaking engagements.
On the right, this ugly tactic is perceived as a violent affront to the First Amendment, on par with the book burning censorship of Nazi Germany.
The funny thing is, Bill Maher seems to agree.
Unbelievably, Maher made the incredibly salient statement at a time when most of his leftist colleagues are turning increasingly vitriolic.
Should Bill Maher actually believe what he is saying has yet to be determined, as many in the entertainment news industry have been reworking their angles in order to capture more moderate viewers as Donald Trump’s approval ratings continue to rise. While Maher’s middle of the road, common sense opinion seems genuine, anything coming from the liberal host should be taken with a heaping grain of salt.
