Illegal Activist Who Says Mexicans Aren’t Rapists Arrested for Rape

Illegal immigrant activist, Adolfo Tony Yapias-Delgado, is the director of Proyecto Latino de Utah, whose maintained that Mexicans aren’t rapists. Yet he was arrested this spring for raping his ex-girlfriend– and illegal immigrant. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 27, 2016.

Ten days after he was dumped, Yapias-Delgado went to his ex’s home and forced himself on her. She was afraid to report the assault because of her non-citizen status, of which he was well aware. She filed a police report the next day because she was afraid that he would return and abuse her again.

Fox News reports that according to court documents “The victim again made it clear she was not interested in continuing a relationship and did not want to engage in sex. The defendant forced the issue and had sexual intercourse with the victim without her consent.”

The documents also indicate that after the alleged assault, Yapias wanted to talk with her about their relationship, which they did in his car. He also allegedly grabbed her cellphone and deleted their text messages.

“As part of those April 4 communications, the defendant further acknowledged that the victim had told him ‘no’ she did not want to have sex multiple times,” court documents state. “As part of the defendant’s asking the victim to ‘accept my apologies for what happened,’ the defendant also stated he felt she had eventually consented ‘when you took your clothes off.’”

Afterwards, the woman was examined by a nurse who confirmed that her injuries matched her story.

Yapias-Delgado’s bail was set at $250,000.

What’s worse than his hypocrisy and alleged act is his bravado in front of news cameras– smiling and shrugging off the accusations as if it were a joke.
