The Hypocrisy of the Pipeline Protest

It’s amazing that the mainstream media doesn’t catch the hypocrisy of the current pipeline protest. And that’s especially a problem given that they have 24 hours of news and commentary demand on a number of TV, radio and print outlets (which is actually a big part of the problem in this country). And it’s especially so given a major M.O. of liberals in this country.

That M.O. can be summed up in a song. That is, remember the song “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”? Well the liberal version is “Liberals Just Wanna Complain.” I mean we have such a great president coming into office now, with great plans on how to cure the problems of this country, and therefore we should just get behind him with a positive spirit of optimism and support him. Instead the liberal media just keeps trying to find things to complain about as they nit pick at his plans and his every move. But the Bible says that the tongue betrays the heart. So given that their tongue is complaining, that means that their heart is in bad shape. Instead our tongues should be praising Trump’s efforts because we have a joyful heart because of his sacrifices, good plans and workmanlike approach. And that is how a number of commentators at the Fox News Channel respond to his presidency.

A current example of this complaining is the pipeline controversy in North Dakota. And a major aspect of it is that it is violating the sacred grounds of the Sioux tribe. And it is drawing a whole bunch of liberals who are addicted to complaining to even suffer a brutal winter. Here’s where the hypocrisy is: why are they not in an uproar about the sacred rights of bakers to not want to bake cakes for gay weddings because it is offensive to their God? And God states that offense in the Bible, which goes to the point of saying that it is so egregious that gays will not make it to Heaven. Do not these bakers have a sacred right also?

Trending: Science is Settled

This shows that there is a third player in people’s relations with the One in charge of the Universe and their existence. That is, why is what’s sacred to the Sioux tribe important, but what is sacred to Christians not important? The Sioux get cultural approval, while the Christians get sued. Therefore this third player is the mainstream culture of political correctness. Hopefully now, the country has said “Enough!” with Trump’s election and that liberal dominated mentality will change to one that is revering what is important to God and the Bible, a mentality that has worked well at times in past decades and even centuries.
