House Democrats’ IT Contractors Under Investigation for Multiple Crimes

Since the upset victory of Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton in the November election, there has been a great deal of news and controversy over the computer hacking of Russia, when in fact, it only served to show just how vulnerable, gullible and naïve the Democratic Party really is.

Democrats jumped on the bandwagon when Green Party candidate Jill Stein launched her legal challenges by asking for recounts in three states won by Donald Trump. In Michigan, the voter recount began. Then the Michigan Court of Appeals upheld a challenge to the recount, voting 3-0 deciding that since Stein had received only 1% of the vote and therefore had no chance of winning, that there was no need of a recount.

Before the recount could be stopped, multiple discrepancies were found between voting totals and precinct reports. Coincidence or not, the largest discrepancies occurred in Wayne County, which is the home of Detroit. In Wayne county, Clinton won 66% of the votes to Trump’s 29%, but is that accurate? Once the recount was stopped by the courts, no further investigation was made into the discrepancies.

Evidence has come out that the Obama administration learned of the hacking attempts last summer. Both the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee were notified. The RNC took action to secure their computers and safeguard them from outside hacking.

The Democrats had a false sense of security and took little to no measures to protect their computers or servers. Consequently, the DNC computer system was hacked and information was then leaked out that proved to be embarrassing to Hillary Clinton and other top Democrats.

This was not the only incident that demonstrated their over confidence and naïve nature concerning their computers. Not only was the DNC computer system hacked, but a number of House Democrats had their computer information accessed and compromised.

Five IT contractors that serviced the computers of about 40 House Democrats have been fired, banned from the Capitol Building and are under investigation for a number of crimes. According to a FOX News report:

“Fox News is told the contract employees, shared by about 40 House Democratic members, removed hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment from offices, including computers and servers. There also were bookkeeping and inventory irregularities where the employees would purchase equipment at one price, bill the congressional office for another and potentially pocket the difference.”

‘Fox News is told the employees made ‘unauthorized access’ to the House computer system.”

“Further, there were instances where House information was discovered in an external ‘cloud’ server. The contractors in question reportedly were sending and storing House-related information in that off-site server.”

“‘That violates House rules and it puts the House at risk,’ a source familiar with the investigation said.”

One has to question the intelligence and integrity of the Democratic National Committee and leadership. If they don’t have the brains to take action to secure their own computers, especially after being warned of possible dangers of being hacked, then how can anyone trust them with running and protecting America? If Democrats are that incompetent to check out what’s happening with their computer equipment and information, then what makes anyone think they’d do any different with federal government computers, equipment and information?

As a group, they are not only liberal in their political views, but liberal in their lack of intelligence and credibility. Obviously, they cannot and should not every be given oversight of running our nation if light of their inability to protect themselves and their computers.
