Finally! A Hollywood star willing to offer support to President-elect Trump, “I just say he’s now elected and we, as a country, need to support who’s ever the president because that’s what the country’s based on. Whatever, however that happened, he’s there and let’s go.” Those comments came from starlet, and dual Australian and American citizen, Nicole Kidman. Kidman made the statement in a recent interview where she discussed her activism and some of her politics on camera.

Kidman has been in the limelight for over two decades now, starting her acting career in Australia in the 1980’s before moving to America and finding worldwide fame. Her first big break on the American screen came costarring with her former husband, Tom Cruise, in the adrenaline fueled racing blockbuster Days of Thunder. After that Kidman did many more big money movies, becoming one of the more famous leading ladies in Hollywood through the 90’s.

She’s still acting but uses more of her time to give back to the world community.

Back in November, she and her current husband, Country rockstar Keith Urban posted a picture of themselves on Instagram showcasing the “I Voted” stickers from their local Nashville, TN voting precinct.

Kidman says that while politics is important she tries not to speak out about it; instead she prefers focusing on specific issues that are important to her.

“I’m always reticent to start commenting politically. I’ve never done it in terms of America or Australia. I’m issue-based. I’m very, very committed to women’s issues in terms of I do a lot of fundraising for U.N. Women and I do a lot of traveling for them. I also do an enormous amount of fundraising for breast and ovarian cancer, because that’s something that’s affected my family deeply. So they’re my issues that I’m very attached to.”

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
