The grand delusion of Hollywood are no secret. In fact, they are all a part of the lure and the intrigue of the city. It’s as though getting a peek behind the curtain has been a part of the show this whole time.
We expect nonsense and bewilderment, as well as a reasonably good excuse to suspend disbelief for a predetermined amount of time. This is what Hollywood excels at, and what made the city such an epicenter of culture back during the good old days of Ronnie Reagan, Back to The Future, and The King of Pop.
Today, however, Hollywood has opted to eschew that successful schtick, with actors and actresses all competing to prove that they’ve transcended any role that could be offered them. Instead, they choose, nay, they are called to “act” as “activists” instead of as thespians. What this usually entails is banging out about 4-7 tweets a day, with at least one that disparages President Donald Trump’s complexion or hair.
But, trust them, they’re super serious about it.
Trending: Science is Settled
Take Alyssa Milano, for example, who recently declared that America would “take to the streets” if Special Counsel Robert Mueller is fired.
Actress and gun control activist Alyssa Milano put out a call to the Resistance on Wednesday, warning of a revolt if Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the 2016 election is ended.
“If they fire Mueller, we take to the streets,” Alyssa Milano tweeted in response to a tweet sent by President Donald Trump, urging Attorney General Jeff Sessions halt the Mueller probe.
“This is a terrible situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further. Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!” President Trump tweeted.
First, we have to remember that approximately half of the country has been calling for the end to this entire investigation from the moment that it began. They certainly won’t be taking to the streets with you.
Where will they meet? Where will they march to? What time are they calling their Ubers? Are they grabbing drinks after?
The only thing that we know for sure is that they’ll definitely be posting about it on social media for the world to see.
