Hollywood Completely Ignores Pedophilia, Assault Reality at Emmy Event

Hollywood is burning, and none of the occupants care to admit that they are at risk of catching fire as award season approaches.

It all began with a series of accusations against Harvey Weinstein, one of the most influential men behind the scenes in Tinseltown.  The movie magnate was considered by many to be the ultimate movie mogul, producing and financing a number of seminal works, and being the go-to “it” man in the former movie-making capital of the world.  (Atlanta, GA has since taken over for Southern California, shooting more projects in the state of Georgia than anywhere else in the country).

Weinstein had long been rumored to be a sexual harasser and abuser, and jokes about he and fellow deviant, pedophile actor Kevin Spacey, had long predicted that this day may never come.

Contrary to the usual Hollywood burial, the rumors began to gain steam as brave victims spoke out about their tragic encounters with these larger than life movie mavericks.  Now, the entire town is mired in the scandal, with new names and faces being dragged out into the street and having their careers shot at a near-daily rate.

But you wouldn’t know it by the conduct of Hollywood’s stars and starlets at the first of several Emmy celebrations occurring this week.

“Filmmaker Agnes Varda danced with Angelina Jolie. Donald Sutherland wanted to thank the characters he’s played. Writer-director Charles Burnett said getting an Oscar eases the sting of a teacher’s heartless words decades ago. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu dedicated his award to immigrants worldwide. And cinematographer Owen Roizman was moved to tears at the film academy’s ninth annual Governors Awards.

“Hollywood took a break Saturday from its growing sexual harassment crisis to present the first Oscars of the forthcoming awards season to four film-industry veterans and a virtual-reality project.

“Not one of the night’s presenters or honorees mentioned the sex-abuse scandal that’s been spreading through the industry since harassment and assault allegations surfaced last month against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. Several high-profile men, including Kevin Spacey and Louis C.K., have since been accused of repeated misconduct.

“With sexual harassment off to the side, the Governors Awards was a night of classic Hollywood schmoozing and celebration. One of the most exclusive parties of the year, the guest list also included Tom Hanks, Salma Hayek, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Sarah Paulson, Emma Stone, Robert Pattinson, Gary Oldman, Ben Stiller, Sofia Coppola, Patty Jenkins and Sam Rockwell.

“Roizman, who was nominated for five Academy Awards during his career, received his honorary Oscar from Dustin Hoffman (who apologized earlier this month for allegedly sexually harassing an intern in 1985). “

Such absurd and obscene ignorance could only be forged in the fired of such a revolutionary tragedy as the one that has befallen Hollywood.

The denial and pompous air of invincibility wafting about the movie industry has only been exacerbated by the posh sabbaticals that many of these A-listers have taken in order to seek “treatment” for their “disorders”.  Much like the sex addiction that Tiger Woods supposedly suffers from, these Hollywood harassers are simply taking luxury vacations to “rehab” facilities in order to feign due diligence and get back to inflating their fortunes.

Parties such as this one, complete with the reality blackout described, prove that assertion true beyond a shadow of a doubt.
