The third and last debate between the two major presidential contenders has been lauded as the best and most substantive debate of the election race.
Sadly, this praise doesn’t mean much since the first two debates were so poorly managed! Fox News’ Chris Wallace performed his moderating duties admirably and was able to keep the candidates and the viewers focused on the real “issues” of the campaign. Wallace’s professionalism was good news for America, but it ended up being bad news for Hillary Clinton’s campaign, as it highlighted the biggest weakness of her candidacy… the Democrat platform.
For the first 90 minutes Donald Trump dominated the debate stage and simply pummeled Hillary Clinton on the issues. When Clinton was unable to turn to character attacks or ad hominems, Trump stood victorious. The third debate clearly showed that the GOP’s platform of ideas is superior to the Democrat’s platform of feelings and foolishness.
The debate was full of good moments for Trump (which we highlighted here), but it was just as full of ugly moments for Hillary Clinton.
Like this one, when Clinton completely mangled the explanation of the Supreme Court’s D.C. v. Heller case. D.C. v. Heller, was an important 2nd Amendment case that came before the court in 2008. The city of Washington, D.C. had passed a total ban on handguns within the city’s limits, and the Supreme Court, in a split 5-4 decision, declared that ban to be unconstitutional. (The city still employs some of the most draconian gun laws in the nation.) The city had made registering a gun all but impossible; then they required that all registered guns be kept unloaded and disassembled, or bound by trigger lock, making the guns worthless for self defense. In effect, the rules banned almost all guns inside the city of Washington, D.C.
But during the 3rd debate, this is how Hillary Clinton attempted to explain why she disagreed with the Heller decision, even though (she says) she agrees that citizens have a right to gun ownership.
“What the District of Columbia was trying to do was protect toddlers from guns. They wanted people with guns to safely store them, and the court didn’t accept that reasonable regulation, but they’ve accepted many other, and I see no conflict between saving people’s lives and defending the Second Amendment.”
This is how esteemed law professor Jonathan Adler responded to Clinton’s argument.
HRC's account of Heller v. DC is astounding!

It’s astounding because it’s nonsense and everyone knew it.
One other moment stands out as truly, gut-wrenchingly bad. It happened during a discussion on nuclear weapons. As Hillary Clinton was busy explaining why having Donald Trump as our Commander-in-Chief was a very bad idea, she proved that she too was unfit for that role.
“Here’s the deal. The bottom line on nuclear weapons is that when the president gives the order it must be followed. There’s about four minutes between the order being given and the people responsible for launching nuclear weapons to do so.”
The Twittersphere was shocked at Hillary’s seemingly off-handed remark, considering it also seemed to be an incredibly important bit of information.
Did Hillary just leak TS information on national TV regarding nuclear response time? #debatenight

Good thing Hillary told everyone about our nuclear response time. Yet another military strategy given to everyone 😑

This is yet another example of the flippant way that Hillary Clinton handles anything that deals with national security or the American people. If it’s not about her, she just has no interest in dealing with the situation with care. She’s as loose-lipped and feeble-minded as the other Democrat presidential hopefuls… remember this guy?
My grandfather reacted to the first incident with a ''Biden's not all there.'' Can't wait for his reaction now. https://t.co/xufRaNguz6

Let me leave you with this from Ben Shapiro; it’s one of his takeaways from the 3rd debate, and it is spot on.
Hillary Lies Incessantly. Hillary Clinton can’t stop lying. She said that her “open borders” comments were only about energy. False. She said that the Heller decision was about toddlers. It wasn’t. She said that she wouldn’t put troops in Iraq, but would put Special Forces…which are troops. She said she wouldn’t let anybody into the country unvetted. False. She said partial birth abortion is about saving the life of the mother. False. She said the Clinton Foundation did everything right in Haiti. False. Hillary can’t stop lying because the moment she tells the truth, she has to resign in disgrace.
Folks, if you care about America, the world and our future… you must vote against Hillary Clinton on Election Day.
