After her embarrassing and deafening defeat during the 2016 presidential election, many believed, and hoped, that they had seen the last of Hillary Clinton.
Clinton was thoroughly dethroned during the tumultuous contest against the unconventional Donald J. Trump, leading to a massive fracturing of the democratic party in the process. Clinton was targeted not only by conservatives, but by international whistleblower extraordinaire Julian Assange, who, along with Wikileaks, completely dismantled the former Secretary of State’s entire sham of a political career. The dirt that they exposed surrounding Clinton would have been enough to bury even the most obtuse of politicians. Hillary, however, seems to have absolutely no sense of shame or dignity, and this sociopathic quality has allowed her to slink back into the public eye, somehow still entranced by the idea of stopping Donald Trump.
“Hillary Clinton announced on Tuesday that she takes responsibility for losing the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. Sort of.
“What does she have going on next? She says, ‘I’m now back to being an activist citizen and part of the resistance.’“Really? What, exactly, is she resisting? She dragged her party down almost singlehandedly in the last election cycle. Now she wants to be part of the cool kids crowd again. This is precisely what’s wrong with Clinton, and what her husband understood: you can’t hijack a popular movement with which you had nothing to do. Bernie Sanders? Maybe. Hillary Clinton? No way.”
“The Resistance”? Is Clinton insinuating that she herself is so far removed from reality, and her head is so well lodged in her backside, that she believes that Donald J. Trump should be deposed?
The election of 2016 was certainly strange, there’s no argument there. But it was a fair election in which the American people roundly rejected the nonsensical choice that the democrats gave them. Hillary Clinton has been, for some time, the poster child for Washington elitism run amok. Even before Wikileaks began exposing her fraudulent posturing as Secretary of State, or her research into medicine for whatever ailment she’s denying, or her unbelievable collusion with the DNC to sink Bernie Sanders’ campaign, Clinton was considered the ultimate dirty politician.
How will the left react to Clinton assuming that she can now cozy back up to them, after devastating the democratic party with her all-encompassing corruption? How could they possibly allow themselves to be hijacked by the former first lady in a lame attempt for her name to stay relevant?
Sure, the left has made far more despicable choices in the past, but Clinton is a new breed of political plague, and democrats would be wise to steer clear of her for the foreseeable future.
