Obama has successfully been able to divide America. Erick Erickson impressed upon me in his latest article this week from the Resurgent just how successful Obama has been able to divide America to advance political power.
Essentially, the President has spent eight years playing tribal politics, dividing the rich and poor, the races, the parties, the sexes, etc. and it has gotten to the point where even President Obama acknowledges he has contributed to the partisan rancor in the country. “It’s one of the few regrets of my presidency, that the rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better,” the President said during his last State of the Union.
Straight vs. gay, black vs. white vs. Hispanic, rich vs. poor, male vs. female, college educated vs. non-college educated, etc. the country has descended to tribal politics and it has, in part, come about because of a society that, in progressiveness, no longer embraces the idea of a melting pot, but has embraced a “salad bowl” approach to assimilation.
I’ve seen a couple of posts on Facebook regarding the shooting of Alton Sterling. There are too many people playing judge, jury and executioner on who’s right and who’s wrong. The police officers involved were in the process of disarming a known violent criminal with a history of gun violence. Let a judge and jury decide if the officers are guilty or not. The more we try to prosecute this case on social media, the more we try this case in the media, the more we get sucked into this, the more Obama divides America. Let the facts speak for themselves as they are hashed out in court and professional investigation.
Let’s continue to put the blame on Obama and the media for using these cases to incite riots and killing. Let’s continue to wait for the facts before we pronounce judgement. Police work, training and protocol are foreign to the average citizen. We don’t know what they go through. We don’t know what they know in these situations. Barack Obama’s attacks on law enforcement and inciting racial tensions are a means to create a police state in his image.
As Christian believers, we have been given this opportunity in these dark times such as these to shine our light and reach out to others to make peace. Helping Barack Obama divide America by joining the chorus of arm chair court room judges is providing fuel to help Obama divide America.
Christians weren’t meant to shine when things are happy and peaceful. We were made to be lights in the darkness.
“That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”
