Guam’s Governor Praises President Trump’s Tough Talk on North Korea

While liberals may be quite upset with President Trump’s posturing and tough talk on North Korea, the people living within striking distance of North Korea have a very different opinion on the matter.

Guam’s Governor, Eddie Calvo, appeared on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Show on Wednesday night and he had nothing but praise for President Trump.

Calvo explained that the people of Guam want a President who’s willing to stand up for them. They want a President who’s willing to put himself between innocent people and a madman like North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.

“We encourage everyone to go through their lives and live them like you would any other day.

As far as I’m concerned, as an American citizen, I want a president that says that if any nation such as North Korea attack Guam, attack Honolulu, attack the west coast, they will be met with Hell and fury.”

Trending: Fuel for Thought

While Governor Calvo had nothing but good things to say about President Trump, he had nothing but criticism for South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

Calvo slammed the Senator from South Carolina for voicing a willingness to have an “all-out” war, as long as it takes place in the Pacific.

Calvo told Fox News that “War is the last option,” and he reminded Senator Graham that the islands of Micronesia, and Polynesia are home to more than a million American citizens.

Here are the comments that Calvo was criticizing:

In an interview with Reuters Calvo said, “They like to be unpredictable. They’ll pop a missile off when no one is ready and they’ve done it quite a few times. Now they’ve telegraphed it. They’re now telegraphing their punch, which means they don’t want to have any misunderstandings. I think that’s a position of fear.”

Calvo also explained that while the people of Guam are concerned with North Korea, they’re not panicking because the North Koreans are usually all talk.

“There is a defence umbrella contained within South Korea, there is a defence umbrella for Japan, there are naval assets between Korea, Japan and Guam, and there is a missile defence system of Guam that make up a multi-level defensive umbrella. At this point, based on what facts are known, there is no need to have any concern regards heightening the threat level.”

It seems that for the people most directly affected by the situation, President Trump’s foreign policy maneuvers are more preferable than those of the establishment war hawks like Lindsey Graham and Chuck Schumer (D-NY). 🇺🇸

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
