GOP Turncoats Vote “No” To Obamacare Repeal, After They Voted “Yes” Under Obama

The American people will likely suffer under Obamacare’s disastrous price gouging mandate for some time to come, after several republicans defected today during an Obamacare repeal vote.

For nearly seven years, Americans have begged and pleaded with federal officials to end the foolish and expensive experiment known as Obamacare.  The disastrous legislation, forced to limp through the legislative process despite significant, damaging last minute changes by congress, became the law of the land early in Barack Obama’s first term as President.  Soon after, the American people would be under siege, as the IRS began implementing enormous fines should American citizens not purchase health insurance.  Worse still, this predictably raised insurance premium rates to an obscene cost, forcing many Americans to choose between the IRS penalty and healthcare.

Now, as a number of insurance providers are opting out of providing Obamacare coverage due to the litany of issues with the program, We The People raised our virtual voices in protest by electing Donald J. Trump as President back in November of 2016.  One of Trump’s most aggressive campaign promises was an immediate repeal and replacement of the horrendous healthcare debacle.  Now, the liberal minority in America, and their infuriating “resistance” policy, have doomed us to several more months of overpriced healthcare, (at the very least), as several GOP congressmen sided with the delusional democrats in today’s vote.

“A proposed clean repeal of Obamacare failed on Wednesday after seven Republican senators voted against the legislation.

“Republicans could only afford to lose two senators and still have the bill passed. Of the seven senators who voted against repealing Obamacare on Wednesday, six voted for the exact same bill in 2015 under President Obama, who vetoed the legislation.

“Now, those senators are playing the role Obama played in 2015 by blocking the repeal of Obamacare that Republicans have consistently promised to their voters over the last seven years.

“Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander was all in favor of repealing Obamacare under Obama.

“’What Obamacare did was to expand a broken system that everyone knew was too expensive,’ he said in 2015. On Wednesday, however, he voted against repealing Obamacare.”

Beyond the exorbitant cost to Americans, Obamacare is nothing more than a liberal gift to the Big Pharmaceutical lobby.

By unconstitutionally mandating that all Americans either pay a fine or purchase health insurance, Obama and his cronies were able to guarantee an enormous payday for their friends in the healthcare industry, specifically those who work within the ivory towers of the Big Pharmaceutical lobby.  By effectively forcing more Americans to seek healthcare, (because why wouldn’t you go to the doctor if you’re forced to pay for it?), Obama put millions of Americans in a position to be force-fed prescriptions by doctors who themselves are financially encouraged to do so by pill-pushing salesmen.

Whether or not it was the big pharmaceutical lobby or the democratic “resistance” to the President that caused these republican turncoats to vote “no” today is yet to be seen.
