Our culture has formed the habit of celebrating depravity. They love to call open and brazen sin, brave. And as our country swirls around the bowl of the toilet of history, these same people will be angry that President Obama has appointed a man, dressing as a woman, to work on a “Faith-based” committee.
The Washington Standard reports
Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah has appointed a member of the United Church of Christ’s Executive Council and a transgender leader in the denomination to serve on his Faith-based Neighborhood Partnerships.
Seventy-nine-year-old Barbara Satin (I have no idea what his real name is) is currently serving as Assistant Faith Work Director for The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and celebrating the opening of Spirit on Lake, a new, 46 unit affordable rental project for LGBT seniors in Minneapolis in which she has been a major participant.
But why are we surprised? This has been shoved in our faces for years, and we have said nothing. Worse, we have not called these people to repent. We have either laughed or went about our business like they do not exist. And the people best equipped to handle this have relegated themselves to the proverbial corner, because we have been told that the Bible only belongs in the home or church. We cannot say what it says in public life or politics.
Now, they have been raised to a place we cannot ignore them. What will the Church now do? What will Americans do about this “abomination” to God? If we do nothing, know that they will continue to push worse and worse perversions down our throats. And they do this while calling themselves servants of God.
The Standard continued
“Given the current political climate, I believe it’s important that a voice of faith representing the transgender and gender non-conforming community—as well as a person of my years, nearly 82—be present and heard in these vital conversations,” said Satin.
If this does nothing else, it gives the true Bride an object lesson. As Tim Brown points out, this is the result of a lack of loving church discipline. We may wish to forego the painful process of church discipline, but this is the result. The UCC has failed this man and now he is set in and celebrates his sin.
God, please grant your people the strength for true repentance.
