Flummoxed and Faulty FBI Finds Fresh Russian Dossier Tied To Trump

This week has not been pretty for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as their once-mythical integrity comes crashing down around them.

The trouble truly began back in 2016 as then-Director James Comey failed to bring charges against a clearly indictable Hillary Clinton for her role in a national security threat at the State Department.  Clinton, who has long been of the belief that she is somehow above the law, purposefully and secretly maintained a private email server, unbeknownst to the cybersecurity team that normally protects classified intel.

That email server, which help thousands of possibly classified emails and incriminating correspondences, was ripe for any hacking contingent in the entire world to peruse.  This meant that Hillary had literally and seriously endangered the lives of Americans, both at home and abroad, with her carelessness.  Somehow, despite finding Clinton guilty of “poor judgement”, the FBI declined to press any charges.

You had better believe that James Comey was quickly removed from his post at the bureau by President Donald Trump, who has promised the American people to uphold the great laws of our nation.

Now, just hours after Comey’s replacement suddenly “retired”, it looks as though the FBI is set for another debacle.

“The FBI inquiry into alleged Russian collusion in the 2016 US presidential election has been given a second memo that independently set out some of the same allegations made in a dossier by Christopher Steele, the British former spy.

“The second memo was written by Cody Shearer, a controversial political activist and former journalist who was close to the Clinton White House in the 1990s.

“Unlike Steele, Shearer does not have a background in espionage, and his memo was initially viewed with scepticism, not least because he had shared it with select media organisations before the election.

“However, the Guardian has been told the FBI investigation is still assessing details in the ‘Shearer memo’ and is pursuing intriguing leads.

“One source with knowledge of the inquiry said the fact the FBI was still working on it suggested investigators had taken an aspect of it seriously.”

The original Steele dossier, which was nothing more than recycled Washington Post rumors from a decade ago, was lewd and loud.  It claimed that Donald Trump was being blackmailed by the Russian government with information gleaned from Muscovite prostitutes regarding the now-President’s unsanitary sexual preferences.  The dossier’s sources have never been identified, leading many to believe that the entire hoax was simply salacious character assassination.

And, of course, once the Steele dossier’s “secret” was out, no one was rioting in the streets demanding that Trump be removed from office.  This farce is merely fodder for legislators at this point.  The American people are more than satisfied with the job that the President has done over the course of the last year.

Today’s revelation comes as Washington’s swamp war gets hot and heavy.  Trump is set to address the nation in his State of The Union speech in a few hours, and the left has been busy pushing these wild headlines to the forefront in an apparent attempt to rattle POTUS.

Given our knowledge of President Trump so far, there is little reason to believe that this feeble attempt is going to have him sweating on his big night.
