Hollywood is in the midst of a reckoning that looks to reshape the entire industry, burying a great many powerful players under a mountain of filth of their own creation.
No longer are Americans giving a free pass to the wealthy and powerful when it comes to sexual misconduct, with victims finally feeling comfortable enough to emerge from their shame and shadows to identify and out their attackers. Shamefully, the Hollywood liberal population often looked past these allegations in the past, claiming that the affected were simply seeking notoriety by invoking the names of some of Hollywood’s most influential people, but when Harvey Weinstein was finally brought to justice, (in the court of public opinion, at least), all that changed.
Weinstein, who was one of Hollywood’s most powerful men ever, was also a staunch democrat whose serious ties to the democratic party have been thoroughly detailed throughout his illustrious career.
Now, as these victims come forward and begin naming names, the list is overwhelmingly liberal, with democrats making up a vast majority of the perverse and unrepentant hive of sexual villainy. One of the most recent sexual predators being outed is the director of HBO television series Girls, which stars liberal lunatic and wannabe-feminist Lena Dunham, who famously reneged on her threat to move out the country should Donald Trump become President.
Trending: Fuel for Thought
In a selfish and self-serving maneuver, Dunham is refusing to believe the victim in the case, instead siding with accused rapist and director Murray Miller.
“Dunham and her co-showrunner Jenni Konner took the side of Murray Miller after actress Aurora Perrineau filed a police report against him — claiming she woke up while he was having intercourse with her in 2012.
“’While our first instinct is to listen to every woman’s story, our insider knowledge of Murray’s situation makes us confident that sadly this accusation is one of the 3% of assault cases that are misreported every year,’ Dunham and Konner wrote in a joint statement.
“’It is a true shame to add to that number, as outside of Hollywood women still struggle to be believed. We stand by Murray and this is all we’ll be saying about this issue.’
“Miller was 35 at time of the alleged assault.
“’He was flirting with me. I told him repeatedly that I was 17 years old,’ Perrineau said in the statement to The Wrap.
“’At some point, I woke up in Murray’s bed naked. He was on top of me having sexual intercourse with me. At no time did I consent to any sexual contact with Murray.’”
Dunham has often appeared as a self-serving and naive piece of the Hollywood puzzle, and her unfathomable decision to nonchalantly support an alleged rapist will likely go down in history as one of the most absurd actions by anyone claiming a feminist outlook ever.
This is yet again proof of millennial Hollywood’s inability to admit wrongdoing or guilt by association. Rather, folks such as Dunham are self-serving at best, accomplices at worst, and will hopefully find themselves and their careers unworthy of attention in the coming weeks.
