Glenn Thrush was exposed by Wikileaks as a partisan hack for Clinton, so naturally he got a job doing more of the same.
Here’s Glenn Thrush discussing “fake news,” which he says includes simply reporting with a partisan view.
The DC Caller reports that Thrush was recently hired for his journalistic skills and integrity:
Trending: Fuel for Thought
Politico’s Glenn Thrush, who was exposed in WikiLeaks emails sending stories to Hillary Clinton staffers before publication, will be joining the New York Times to cover the White House, The Huffington Post reported Monday.
“We’re thrilled that Glenn Thrush is joining The Times,” Elisabeth Bumiller, The New York Times’ Washington bureau chief, told The Huffington Post. “He’s a premier political journalist, a master of breaking news and long-form story telling and a stellar addition to our White House team.”
While Bumiller described Thrush as a “premier political journalist,” in one email to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta, Thrush chose to describe himself as a “hack.”
“No worries Because I have become a hack I will send u the whole section that pertains to u,” Thrush wrote to Podesta in an April 2015 email. “Please don’t share or tell anyone I did this Tell me if I f[…]ed up anything.”
This should demonstrate how much the media is really concerned about “fake news.” It is nothing more than an ad hoc smear on conservative media and a rationalization for degrading the First Amendment.
The story was published as non-partisan journalism under Thrush’s name with no warning to readers that John Podesta had gotten to preview and approve five paragraphs of it.
This was not the only time Glenn Thrush allowed a story to be viewed and approved by those the story was supposed to be about. Another Daily Caller story reported,
For the second time in less than a month Politico chief political correspondent Glenn Thrush has been caught sending stories to Hillary Clinton staffers for approval.
Thrush sent an email to Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri on April 17, 2015 with the subject line: “pls read asap — the [Jennifer Palmieri] bits — don’t share.” This was revealed in Thursday’s WikiLeaks release of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails. It is included in Podesta’s emails as Palmieri shared the email with several other Clinton staffers, including campaign manager Robby Mook and Podesta.
The eight paragraphs that Thrush sent Palmieri were filled with glowing sentences about her. She wrote in the forwarded email to Clinton staffers, “He did me courtesy of sending what he is going to say about me. Seems fine.”
The paragraphs about Palmieri ended up largely unchanged in the column, “Quiet, please. Hillary’s running,” a piece focused on Clinton’s press strategy.
So when the New York Times recruits and rewards a producer of fake news and fake journalism, we have every reason to believe that the “newspaper” approves of and encourages that sort of behavior. They’re not a news organization at all. They’re a regime propaganda organization posturing as a place where journalists work.
They are a fake news outfit.
