The stench of of something fishy has been hanging in a pall over the Department of Justice for weeks, thanks to their intimate involvement in the liberal Russian election hoax.
It all began when a desperate Hillary Clinton began to see the writing on the wall at the end of the 2016 presidential election: There was no chance that she would defeat populist Donald Trump. We The People simply could not ignore the vast amalgam of skeletal remains in the former First Lady’s closet, especially with the fresh corpse of Seth Rich crowning the entire bony batch.
Furthermore, Wikileaks had already begun their work to unseat the democratic diva with a series of disclosures that would rock the entire democratic party to its core.
Hillary needed a scapegoat, and she needed one quickly.
She would need to be careful if she were to use the old democratic staple of “voter fraud”, given that the free press of the internet had been thoroughly dismantling the “fake news” narrative on the subject. Furthermore, Trump had already bounced back from the damning Access Hollywood tape debacle, making the conservative swamp-drainer appear nigh impervious to scandal.
Hillary decided that, in order to stand even the slightest chance against Trump in November, she would need to dredge up a long-dormant enemy: The Ruskies.
Soon, Clinton was embroiled in all manner of behind-the-scenes dealings in an attempt to paint Donald Trump as some sort of KGB agent or Kremlin operative. The accusations, no matter their absurdity, gained momentum, and, to this day we are dealing with a prolonged investigation into the already-debunked theory.
During all of this kerfuffle, Hillary Clinton was again rocked by scandal, as a bizarre document known as the “Steele Dossier” had its funding traced back to the Clinton Foundation. This dossier was meant to disparage Donald Trump by claiming that he was being blackmailed by the Russian government with information regarding his sexual exploits with Muscovite prostitutes.
Now, Fusion GPS, (the company responsible for unverified and unverifiable information in the dossier), has been caught again padding the palms of those within the halls of government, this time at the Department of Justice.
“Bruce Ohr, the Department of Justice official who brought opposition research on President Donald Trump to the FBI, did not disclose that Fusion GPS, which performed that research at the Democratic National Committee’s behest, was paying his wife, and did not obtain a conflict of interest waiver from his superiors at the Justice Department, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.
“The omission may explain why Ohr was demoted from his post as associate deputy attorney general after the relationship between Fusion GPS and his wife emerged and Fusion founder Glenn Simpson acknowledged meeting with Ohr. Willfully falsifying government ethics forms can carry a penalty of jail time, if convicted.”
Ohr will not likely be the last government official to find disgrace due to his connection to this pathetic Russian fraud, but his tale is one that is important all the same.
We are still months, if not years away from comprehending the full scope of this nonsensical narrative, and already it’s spelling trouble for the democrats and their litany of liberal lunatics. How much worse can it get, with 2018’s midterms on the horizon?
There is only one way to find out.
