Americans are increasingly tired of the fake news mainstream media’s insistence that Donald Trump is some sort of Russian operative, and, as it turns out, perhaps CNN themselves are over it as well.
The originators of fake news have no one to blame but themselves for the onslaught of ridiculous theories surrounding Russia’s purported involvement in the 2016 presidential campaign that ended with Donald Trump outright embarrassing Hillary Clinton on November 8th, 2016. The American conservative uprising had been underway for months, and Trump knew exactly how to ride that cresting wave into the Oval Office. Meanwhile, Clinton’s own myriad of scandals were bubbling at the surface of the American psyche, leading to an unprecedented loss of trust in the democratic party…and that’s saying something.
During the campaign, Clinton was known to strategically insert Russia into the national conversation, stirring up doubt over Donald Trump’s intentions in front of tiny, friendly audiences on the campaign trail, and in front of the entire nation during the televised presidential debates. The democratic base ate it up, inevitably leading to CNN and other mainstream media outlets picking up the story and running with it, full force, into the fledgling presidency.
Now, as the nation grows to resent the constant and conniving rhetoric of CNN’s fake news, the Russian conspiracy refuses to die…even though employees of CNN are not-so-secretly hoping that it will.
“CNN’s Alisyn Camerota said on Friday she has fatigue from the news media’s continuing coverage of alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russian election meddling.
“’I hear your Russia fatigue and I share it. You know, there are many mornings I come in and pray for other news to eclipse any sort of Russia thread,’ the “New Day” anchor told the ‘Bernie and Sid Show’ on 77 WABC.
“’There are always ethical dilemmas that journalists face. Every day we are making decisions about “What are we going to lead with?” “What are we going to leave out?”‘ she continued.“’By the time I plug in, there is already a direction of the show. However, I am free at any time to say to my executive producer, which I do pretty regularly, “Hey, I don’t want to do this in this segment, I want to do this,” and then it’s a debate.’”
The latest skirmish between the fake news originators and the White House comes as Donald Trump Jr. was revealed to have met with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign.
Further confusing the story is the fact that this Russian lawyer was allowed special access to the United States by former President Barack Obama’s DOJ, leading many political spectators to speculate that the entire debacle was a set-up by the democrats hoping to cash in on the meeting to further damage Donald Trump’s presidency. Should CNN suddenly stop covering the Russia narrative it would likely be due to the nation uncovering this convoluted scheme.
