Donut Shop Dissed By LGBT SJW’s Over Holiday Charity Drive

In this, the season of giving, how far will the liberal left go in order to push their supposed social justice agenda?  One donut shop is learning the answer the hard way.

The Christmas and holiday season is upon us, and for many that ushers in an urge to be charitable and giving.  After all, some of our most profound Christian values apply to our ability to assist our fellow man.  This is precisely why organizations such as the Humane Society and the Salvation Army ramp up their fundraising efforts when the temperatures begin to dip.

Unfortunately, there are still plenty of Bah Humbug-spouting Scrooges over on the left side of American culture who feel like naysaying this charitable effort, and one donut shop in Maine is feeling the brunt of this misplaced rage.

“The Holy Donut organized a gift drive to provide local families in need with Christmas presents, and awarded participating customers with a gift of free doughnuts.

“The doughnut shop ran afoul of LGBT advocates when they enlisted the help of the Salvation Army, a nonprofit Christian ministry known for its charitable aid to the indigent, homeless, and those suffering from addictions. The Salvation Army assisted the doughnut makers in finding needy children and families, which infuriated LGBT lobbyists who accuse the Salvation Army of being anti-gay and discriminating against the LGBT community.

“Organizers of the online protest encouraged people to give the doughnut shop poor ratings on review sites to discourage prospective customers from patronizing the establishment, to undermine the shop’s financial base.

“The online mob threatened a boycott unless the doughnut shop renounced its partnership with the Salvation Army.”

LGBT organizations have long been in opposition to The Salvation Army for the organizations perceived threat to their community, routinely posting online rants about the charity and threatening boycotts such as the one in Maine this week.

It seems that, for some on the left, charity dollars should only be spent when and where liberals and their ilk decide, as if they own the entire concept of helping your fellow man and being a productive member of a larger society – all lesson from The Bible that the LGBT left has long been looking to eradicate through hypocrisy.
