Donald Trump: “Fighting for the American People”

Recently, Donald Trump argued that he wasn’t just running for President against Hillary Clinton, no… he is also being forced to run against the “crooked” mainstream media.

“I’m not running against Crooked Hillary. I’m running against the crooked media.”

While Trump has been taking a lot of flack for his comments (and his follow up about restraining free speech), one of his biggest supporters, Rudy Giuliani, was on Fox & Friends Monday to back the GOP nominee up.

“The reality is he is determined to win and his effort against the press is not for him; his effort against the press is fighting for the American people.

The reality is the press by being so one-sided and writing an article like that which is largely untrue and then putting three articles the day before anti-Trump on the front page. Imagine three articles on the front page of the Times, he is saying the American people are not getting the facts they’re entitled to; they’re not getting both sides of the story.”

(Here’s the New York Times story that Giuliani took exception to.)

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
