Those who still subscribe to the musings of the mainstream, corporately-controlled media are swiftly mutating into a maddening mob of hyperbolic harpies, and their constant screeching has become nigh unbearable.
It really is an astounding time to be alive, watching this media malfeasance cause a sort of sublime cannibalism among the legacy media of television. Their troubling corporate connections have not only been exposed, but have also been dissected by any number of true journalists, who have figuratively eviscerated the idea that there are any balanced news sources to be found while subscribing to the empty vessels known as Xfinity, DirectTV, or AT&T. Only the press of the malleable and adaptive internet can truly claim independence, given the advanced advertising algorithms used to determine what you see.
In other words, I don’t take my orders from anyone whose advertising dollars are being directed toward you. I just write, and that is what freedom truly is.
So, I don’t have to say things like “Donald Trump is complicit in the coming destruction to be caused by Hurricane Florence”. I can leave that nonsense to the mainstream.
On Tuesday night, as Hurricane Florence approached the Carolinas, The Washington Post issued an op-ed insisting that President Trump is “complicit” in the attacks powerful hurricanes mount against the United States.
Noting that Florence, a Category 4 hurricane, will be the strongest hurricane to ever hit the East Coast so far north if it comes inland, the Post opined, “ … when it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit. He plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks.”
More supposed evidence: “Scientists also warn that climate change may be slowing the wind currents that guide hurricanes, making storms more sluggish and, therefore, apt to linger longer over disaster zones.”
Here comes the clincher:
Then, a direct slam against the Trump administration: “With depressingly ironic timing, the Trump administration announced Tuesday a plan to roll back federal rules on methane, a potent greenhouse gas that is the main component in natural gas.” And a predictable comparison between Trump and environmentalist Barack Obama: “The Trump administration has now attacked all three pillars of President Barack Obama’s climate-change plan.”
Perhaps the failed anti-Second Amendment movement populated by David Hogg and his high school pals has a few of of those “WE CALL BS” buttons laying around that we could borrow to exemplify our opinion of the mainstream media?
