Denial-Ridden Democrats Scrambling After Sex Allegations Rock D.C.

The walls are closing in on the democratic party in the waning moments of 2017 amid allegations of lewd and salacious behavior permeating the party.

What began with Hollywood mogul and liberal kingmaker Harvey Weinstein has spread throughout the halls of Washington, as a number of influential leftist legislators have been outed as perverse sexual predators who leveraged their positions of power to proposition or assault those working under them.

Al Franken, a former Saturday Night Live cast member and current Senator, (for now), has even been outed as the subject of a photograph taken on a USO tour in which he was seen crabbing the breasts of female journalist Leann Tweeden while she slept.

Now, Representative John Conyers of Michigan is in the hot seat after allegations surfaced of similarly predatory behavior.  Where the democrats were quick to condemn the very few republicans who have been accused as of late, House Leader Nancy Pelosi has called for restraint in Conyer’s condemnation – a stark bit of hypocrisy on Capitol Hill.

“’We are strengthened by due process. Just because someone is accused – and was it one accusation? Is it two?’ Pelosi said on ‘Meet The Press.’

“’John Conyers is an icon in our country. He has done a great deal to protect women – Violence Against Women Act, which the left – right-wing – is now quoting me as praising him for his work on that, and he did great work on that,’ she added. ‘But the fact is, as John reviews his case, which he knows, which I don’t, I believe he will do the right thing.’

“Conyers’ office recently confirmed issuing a settlement of $27,000 to a former staffer who says she was fired for resisting the congressman’s sexual advances. Conyers has acknowledged the payout, which he amounted to a severance package, but he denied the allegations about what it was for.”

This turning away from the issues may not be new to the democratic party, but it certainly collides with their connection to the social justice junket that they have embraced in order to maintain some semblance of relevancy in modern politics.

Given the disastrous results of the 2016 election, combined with this repulsive reckoning of late, there is little chance that the democrats make it to 2020 with a prayer of fielding a contender against Donald Trump.  Furthermore, the filthy hypocrisy of the leftists, in which they claim a higher level of morality than their actions demonstrate, will certainly be a large part of the conversation in coming elections.
