Even before republican Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, there was talk among the defeated democrats about how best to oust him.
It was the epitome of the sore loser lesson that many of us will be teaching our children as they reach sporting age: Do your best, and if that’s not better than the next guy, congratulate him on his ability. For the democrats, however, the entire moral of the story is lost. Instead, they have spent the better part of the last 7 months incessantly whining and complaining and blaming instead of doing their job of governing for their constituents. After the victorious Trump finally got around to firing the incompetent James Comey, possibly the most dismal FBI director in recent history, the left turned their rhetoric up to 11, finally dropping the “I” word in public.
Immediately branding President Trump as guilty of obstruction of justice, congressional democrats began a campaign to impeach the newly-minted Commander in Chief. Now, however, after these leftist lunatics have possibly caught a whiff of just how rank their accusations were, are running swiftly away from their earlier plans.
“House Democratic leaders are rebuffing the growing push from their liberal members to move toward impeaching President Trump, warning that the nascent effort is premature and might undermine ongoing investigations into Trump’s ties to Russia.
“’We have to find out what the facts are,’ said Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, which is conducting one of the multiple probes into Russia’s election meddling and possible ties to the Trump campaign.
“’The hearings this week are going to be very important to understand what role the president played in the effort to derail any part of the Russia investigation, as has been alleged,’ he added, referring to a pair of Senate Intelligence Committee hearings happening this week. ‘But I don’t want to leap to any conclusions about what we’ll ultimately find or what the consequences should be.’“’We’re still very early in the investigative process.'”Rep. Linda Sánchez (Calif.), vice chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, said Schiff’s view reflects the ‘overwhelming sentiment’ among the Democrats.”
This week’s congressional hearings regarding Russia’s possible interference into the 2016 U.S. election could have a major impact on how the democrats proceed. Should Donald Trump’s admission that he never pressured James Comey to bail out on the Russian investigation hold up to questioning, (which, for the time being, is the case), democrats and their progressive pundits will quickly need to invent some new conspiratorial angle from they can attack the President. This shouldn’t be difficult given their access to the crooked mainstream media.
However, if Donald Trump is stabbed directly in the back by one of these underlings, and congress feels that there is sufficient evidence to continue with their investigation, we could be in for fireworks on Capitol Hill.
