President Trump was doing what he does best on Monday, he was stumping his way through Ohio to talking up our economy and encouraging Ohioans to support American manufacturing.
He was also to remind the folks in Ohio who it was that promised to revitalize their economy and their industries. It was part pep rally, part reminder of the promises he’d already fulfilled, and part victory dance in the wake of the State of the Union and the release of the Nunes FISA abuse memo.
But it’s not the rally that caught people’s attention. It’s not the speech about the economy, manufacturing, the Midwest, or the average Joe that the media noticed.
No, it was this short section of the speech where president Trump describes what happened during the State of the Union.
“They would rather see Trump do badly, okay, than our country do well. That’s what it mean.
It’s very selfish. And it got to a point where I really didn’t even want to look too much during the speech over to that side because honestly, it was bad energy. It was bad energy.
You’re up there, you’ve got half the room going totally crazy wild, they loved everything, they want to do something great for our country.
And you have the other side, even on the positive news, really positive news like that, they were like death and un-American. Un-American. Somebody said treasonous. I mean, yeah, I guess, why not. Can we call that treason? I mean they certainly didn’t seem to love our country very much.
So you look at that and it is very, very sad.
It’s not a good day for Nancy Pelosi. She’s our secret weapon. I hope they don’t change her. There is a lot of people who want to run her out.”
I bet you can guess which word in there got the left, and their pals in the media, all excited. It’s the “T” word. Treason.
It’s odd, but even after a year in the White House and almost 2 years as a politician, the media still takes everything that Donald Trump says so seriously. Anyone else watching this video would be able to understand that he’s just trolling the Democrats. But the left has lost every ounce of humor they once had, they’ve become unable to find the funny in any situation, and so every perceived slight makes them apoplectic.
And that’s no fun.
