Democrat Arrogance Continues; Obama Says He Would Have Beat Trump [VIDEO]

In a display of ongoing Democrat arrogance, Barack Obama declared that Americans would have rallied behind him.

Doubling down on the Democrat arrogance that lost Hillary the White House, President Obama declared it would have ended differently if he could have run for a third term.

Mr. Obama recently joined his former chief strategist, David Axelrod, for a wide-ranging interview on CNN’s “The Axe Files.” The president talked about his childhood, Hillary Clinton’s doomed presidential campaign, and his plans for the future after leaving the White House.

“I am confident in this vision because I’m confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could’ve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it,” Mr. Obama said, CNN reported Monday. “I know that in conversations that I’ve had with people around the country, even some people who disagreed with me, they would say the vision, the direction that you point towards is the right one.”

The president then stressed that President-elect Trump’s ability to secure 306 Electoral College votes compared to Mrs. Clinton’s 232 is not an indicator that “hope and change” was a political illusion.

“In the wake of the election and Trump winning, a lot of people have suggested that somehow, it really was a fantasy,” the president said. “What I would argue is, is that the culture actually did shift, that the majority does buy into the notion of a one America that is tolerant and diverse and open and full of energy and dynamism.”

No one would expect Democrats to admit they shouldn’t be Democrats, so I’m not surprised that Barack Obama finds it necessary to rationalize to a point. But these kinds of statements sound like he is unwilling to learn anything from a string of Democrat defeats starting in 2010. The more Barack Obama tightened his grip with executive orders, IRS harassment of conservatives, and unaffordable health care, the more the voting populace turned against the Democrat Party.

But I have to admit I am happy to see this display of Democrat arrogance. It indicates that Barack Obama and his friends have no idea how to win back the United States. If anything, they will lose worse in 2018 if they continue to show this attitude.

In the meantime, Donald Trump has responded. According to the Washington Times,

President Obama trolled President-elect Donald Trump on Monday by saying he would have won a third term if he could have run. And Mr. Trump trolled right back.

The president-elect replied on his favorite venue — his certified Twitter account — and said there was “NO WAY” Mr. Obama would have won.

“President Obama said that he thinks he would have won against me. He should say that but I say NO WAY! – jobs leaving, ISIS, OCare, etc.” Mr. Trump replied.

Perhaps the most offensive part of Obama’s comments was the claim that he alone believed in “one America.” Democrats continually work to divide the American people into special interest groups with grievances against others, while claiming to be all about inclusion. It is a special kind of Democrat arrogance that leads them to think that no one sees through their deception.
