Dem-Socialist Starlet Compares Connects Electoral College to Slavery

Within the democratic hierarchy, there was one person who reigned supreme as the “King of The Gaffe”; former Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden, whose character seemed to oscillate between “aloof” and “creepy”, has long been known for his peculiar behavior around female guests during his time in the White House.

On the other end of Biden’s character, however, is something a bit different:  A goofy and somewhat brash sense of humor that had bestowed upon Biden the aforementioned “honor” in regard to putting his foot directly into his mouth.

Now, however, Biden has had a challenger to clumsy-mouthed crown in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the young democratic socialist who has been lighting up the Bernie Bros in New York.  Cortez has had plenty of semantic slip ups in her brief 15 minutes of fame, but one statement in particular has Americans scratching their heads.

Democratic socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is pushing for the Electoral College to be abolished.

Ocasio-Cortez — who surprisingly won the Democratic primary in New York’s 14th congressional district earlier this year — responded over the weekend to a Twitter user who pointed out that two presidents who both lost the popular vote — George W. Bush and Donald Trump — have now placed four justices on the Supreme Court.

“It is well past time we eliminate the Electoral College, a shadow of slavery’s power on America today that undermines our nation as a democratic republic,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

Cortez, whose socialist ethos falls in line with that of former Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, has previously been criticized for a number of faux-pas, including the choice to don a $3,500 outfit for a photoshoot celebrating her “working class” heritage.
