Colbert Audience CHEERS Comey Firing Before Liberal Comedian Corrects Them

The hypocrisy of the left has reached nearly hilarious levels this week as news of the firing of FBI Director James Comey has been made public.

The incompetent bureau chief has been in hot water for the better part of 7 months, with a bevy of separate groups vying to have him ousted.  At first, his recommendation not to bring charges against the corrupt Hillary Clinton for her completely illegal private email server incensed republicans.  It was absolutely unfathomable that the FBI would refuse to punish the former Secretary of State for her brazen and willful ignorance of national security protocols as they pertain to classified information.

Then, mere days before the general election of 2016, Comey once again opened an investigation into Clinton, and liberal rage spread across the nation.  Many on the left saw the Comey declaration as a stunt aimed at delegitimizing their candidate, and they took to their soapboxes to demand the FBI director’s head on a pike.

That second investigation ended up in a dead end, and, once again, things were somewhat calm for Comey.  Now, after months of ridiculous behavior, Donald Trump has finally relieved Comey of his duty and the democrats are once again furious, claiming that Comey’s investigation into the already debunked theories regarding Donald Trump and the Russian government is the reason for his dismissal.

Well, in all honesty, actual democrats don’t feel that way.  But their mainstream media masters do, as evidenced by Stephen Colbert’s audience and their reaction to the news.

“Late Show host Stephen Colbert was surprised on Tuesday when his audience cheered lustily as he informed them that President Donald Trump had fired FBI director James Comey.

“Evidently the left-leaning Colbert fans had not yet heard the news that Democrats, having called for Comey to be fired for months, were now using his firing to accuse Trump of a cover-up and abuse of power.

“’Wow, huge Donald Trump fans here tonight,’ Colbert said, pointing at the audience

“The Washington Free Beacon describes the scene:

“‘Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” audience initially cheered loudly on Tuesday at the announcement that President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey minutes earlier, visibly vexing the comedian.’

“‘Presumably, the left-leaning audience thought this was positive news ever since Comey angered Democrats with his late-October letter to Congress announcing the discovery of emails related to Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. Clinton herself has cast blame on Comey for costing her the election.'”

You see, Colbert’s audience was caught agreeing with something that President Trump did – firing an incompetent and possibly compromised piece of bureaucratic waste – a move that fits into the bipartisan plan to “drain the swamp”.  Americans as a whole do believe that our government is running amok, as evidenced by this reaction.

Colbert, however, has an agenda to maintain, and could not allow his audience to express themselves freely in this matter.  As part of the liberal mainstream media, Colbert was forced to correct the leftist record as it pertains to Comey and Trump; something that indicates a massive disparity between the host and his own audience.

This is yet another prime example of the hypocrisy of the left, and the enormous distance between their rhetoric and Americans’ wishes.
