CNN Discusses Hillary’s Lies; Mike Pence Calls for Federal Investigation into Clinton “Pay-for-Play” Scandal

On Sunday, there was much talk all over the mainstream media about Hillary Clinton’s “Pay-for-Play” Scandal and what should be done about the growing scandal.

On CNN’s State of the Union, Jake Tapper sat down with a panel of guests to discuss the possible repercussions, and, as expected, the Democrat strategists droned on and on about how these latest revelations were “much ado about nothing.” Meanwhile, the Republican pundits argued the converse, saying that this was simply more evidence of the culture of corruption that seems to travel everywhere Bill and Hillary Clinton go.

For his part, Tapper points out that FBI Director Comey noted in his testimony to Congress that, while Clinton was truthful (to the best of his knowledge) to the FBI, she blatantly lied to Congress and the American people. (I’ll point out here something that they didn’t hit in the interview – Clinton made false statement while under oath before Congress… that’s a felony, punishable by 5 years in prison.)

Meanwhile on Fox News’ SUNDAY, host Chris Wallace sat down with Donald Trump’s VP nominee, Mike Pence (R-IN) to talk about the “Pay-for-Play” scandal and what, if anything, the federal government should be doing about it. Pence made it clear that he believed the government should be moving forward with an investigation, because the American people deserved to know the truth about what was happening during Hillary Clinton’s time leading the State Department.

“The new e-mails that have been made public just in the last week seem to make a direct connection between favors done by State Department officials and major foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation.
Certainly, officials at the FBI, we also found out this week, believe that there should be an investigation, and Obama’s Department of Justice apparently has shut that down. The public has a right to know, because this — really and truly, this is exactly the kind of pay-to-play politics the American people are, are sick and tired of. But, frankly, it is just one more example of the way I do believe that the Clintons have been operating over the last 30 years.”

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
