Cardinal Timothy Dolan Blasts the Democrat Party for Demanding Loyalty on Abortion

The leaders of the Roman Catholic Church in the USA are not happy with the Democrat Party.

While the American Roman Catholic Church has had long, deep ties to the Democrats (through their joint blue collar populations), it seems that the modern Democrats continue to find new ways to put distance between their two groups. The latest effort is an incredible decision by the Democratic National Committee to argue that Democrat candidates for office should be forced into ideological purity over the issue of abortion. While the DNC doesn’t mind if its candidates are personally pro-life, they want to make sure that those candidates vote to support abortion when asked.

Now one of the highest ranking Catholics in America, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, is speaking out against the disgusting demands from the DNC. Dolan called the DNC’s desire for an abortion pledge “very disturbing,” while also calling on Catholic Democrats to demand that their leadership abandon the intolerant and murderous position.

“The recent pledge by the Democratic National Committee chair to support only candidates who embrace the radical unrestricted abortion license is very disturbing. The Democratic Party platform already endorses abortion throughout the nine months of pregnancy, even forcing taxpayers to fund it; and now the DNC says that to be a Democrat—indeed to be an American—requires supporting that extreme agenda.

True solidarity with pregnant women and their children transcends all party lines. Abortion doesn’t empower women. Indeed, women deserve better than abortion.

In the name of diversity and inclusion, pro-life and pro-‘choice’ Democrats, alike, should challenge their leadership to recant this intolerant position.”

Now the question is how will Catholic Democrats and Pro-Life Democrats respond to the DNC’s demands? Will they turn a blind eye to their leadership’s disturbing demands, or will they fight back? The moment for passivity has passed and the time for taking a stand is here.

Catholics must realize their political party has abandoned them, pro-life Democrats must realize that their party abhors them, the answer is clear… it’s time to vote Republican.

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
