Thanks to the divisiveness of the liberal left, the American experience is being inundated with outsider opinions and ideologies that have no bearing on the reality of our great nation.
What the left continues to forget is that Donald Trump was elected by the American people. It wasn’t a mistake, a fluke, or a scam. The nation came together to say that enough was enough of Washington D.C.’s establishment nonsense, and that we would no longer entertain the idea of the corrupt elites leading us.
Trump was elected not only because of his populist ideals, but because he simply wasn’t Hillary Clinton.
In the wake of that election, over the course of the last 2 years-plus, we have been absolutely bludgeoned by something that the left is calling the “resistance” – a widespread attitude that Donald Trump will simply be opposed at every turn, for no reason other than the fact that he hails from a different political party than many of these “activists” do. It’s an absurd and obstructionist way of wishing well for your fellow Americans, but not much makes sense in the world of liberal lunacy.
Now, as this anti-Trump hatred spreads, even the normally cool and collected Canadians are barking toward their southern backyard, with Canadian country music star Shania Twain being forced by the court of public opinion to apologize for her hypothetical support of the American President.
In an interview with The Guardian, the Canadian Grammy-winning singer said of Trump: “I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest.”
She went on to say that if she were voting she didn’t want “bullsh*t.” She added, “I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?”
Her answer immediately received a flood of backlash on Twitter and she wasted no time in clarifying her answer on the social media platform.
“I would like to apologise to anybody I have offended in a recent interview with the Guardian relating to the American President,” she tweeted. “The question caught me off guard. As a Canadian, I regret answering this unexpected question without giving my response more context.”
So, not only is Shania Twain’s opinion not okay, somehow, the liberal court of public opinion and their shame machine just forced a Canadian citizen to apologize for it by sending Tweets at her?
How in the world are we allowing this ridiculous, reverse/double discrimination against the conservative, traditional American people stand? This is the very antithesis of the “tolerance” that progressive perpetually pontificate upon, and no one in front of a camera or a microphone is making that hypocrisy known.
I won’t be apologizing for my beliefs, and neither should Shania Twain.
