In their quest to divide our nation in two, the liberals have seemingly staked out California as a stronghold for themselves.
Well, at least the beachfront. There has been a growing movement within California to split the state into two, perhaps even three pieces, given the fact that their political divide is very neatly drawn on geographical lines.
Californians may get to vote on a plan to split the state into three smaller states this November.
Venture capitalist Tim Draper, who previously pushed a proposal that would split California into six states, says that his three-state proposal has enough signatures to qualify for the November ballot.
CAL 3 would begin the process to divide California into “Northern California,” “Southern California,” and just plain “California.”
“Northern California” would include all of the counties north of Merced County, and “California” would consist of Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey and San Benito counties.
The remaining counties would be part of “Southern California.”
Of course, this is just another of California’s attempt to buck the federal government whenever a presidential election doesn’t go their way. Immediately following the election of President Donald J. Trump in 2016, leftists within the state had even proposed the #CalExit movement, in which California would secede from The Union.
And while CalExit seems to be a long-shot, and the tri-state move only slightly more possible, the giant liberal cesspool is doing the only thing it knows who to do: Tick off President Trump.
California Governor Jerry Brown will not be sending National Guard troops to the southern border after all, the Associated Press reported Monday.
The governor declined to authorize deployment on the belief that troop efforts would help President Trump’s wider agenda aiming to secure the border, two anonymous US officials told the AP.
Last week, Brown indicated he would deploy 400 troops to fight crime after President Trump called on California, Texas, Arizona and New Mexico to help amass a buildup of 2,000 to 4,000 troops to aid border enforcement.
But Brown objected to troops helping conduct immigration operations, which the AP reports could include helping “fix and repair vehicles, operate remotely-controlled surveillance cameras to report suspicious activity to the Border Patrol, operate radios and provide ‘mission support,’ which can include clerical work, buying gas and handling payroll.”
Let’s take this as simply as possible, in order to fully distill its absurdity:
The State of California has declined to secure its own border against illegal immigration, publicly declared this, and all in the name of disparaging a President that they don’t agree with.
If I were a citizen of the Bear Republic, I would be absolutely livid with my state’s unwillingness to keep me safe.
Just like these proud Americans:
Cali refuses the President on Border protection by the Natl. Guard. POTUS should refuse Fed cash to Cali. A lesson to Moonbeam.
