Border Wall Gets Head Start by Waiving EPA Regulations in California

The American people demanded a wall on the border between the U.S. and Mexico, and Donald Trump is bound and determined to make that happen.

While the left has consistently decried Trump’s proposed border wall as some sort of racist gesture, America’s conservative majority has been busy scoffing at the suggestion.  In reality, Americans have been clamoring for our government to enforce the rules that are already on the books for some time, especially after the disastrous presidency of Barack Obama.

Now, even as the turncoat republicans in congress refuse to exert their majority authority in order to proceed with the President’s agenda, progress is being made on the all-too-important barrier by overriding extensive EPA regulations in the liberal stronghold of California to do so.

“The United States will waive environmental rules so extra barriers can be built to bar illegal immigrants from crossing the border with Mexico near San Diego, the Department of Homeland Security said on Tuesday.

“The projects, on about 15 miles (24 km) of the frontier extending east from the Pacific Ocean, are part of President Donald Trump’s planned wall between the United States and Mexico.

“The wall was a centerpiece of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign but Democrats and many Republicans have questioned its effectiveness. Immigration advocacy groups argue it would not stem illegal border crossings.

“Government estimates put the cost of the wall at about $21 billion and Trump has said that Mexico will eventually pay for it. Mexico has refused to pay.

“The DHS said the area near San Diego is one of the busiest U.S. border sections with a high volume of illegal entries and that there was an immediate need to improve the infrastructure.”

Our nation’s illegal immigration crisis has been compounded in recent years by a rise in opioid dependence, which has been, in turn, exacerbated by the flow of Mexican heroin into the U.S.

As the Big Pharmaceutical lobby continues to push expensive and addicting opioid painkillers on the American people, many who fall victim to the drugs’ habit-forming properties are finding themselves looking for cheaper and simpler to obtain alternatives.  Inevitably, this leads a number of otherwise law-abiding Americans into the dangerous world of illegal Mexican narcotics that are arriving on a tidal wave of cartel border activity.

Furthermore, these drug cartels are being negatively impacted by the growing legalization of marijuana in the U.S., a former cash crop of the illegal drug trade.  This is causing cartels to focus more and more on harder opioids, working to increase profit margins by cutting the drugs with dangerous chemicals.  This nearly-unfettered ability of the cartels to infiltrate American society with impure hard drugs has put many an American in danger.
