Bombshell: CNN Producer Admits Trump-Russia Collusion is “Bullsh**,” just CNN Hunting for Ratings

CNN Supervising producer John Bonifield is probably having a very bad day today because Project Veritas just dropped an undercover video showing the producer explaining that CNN’s infatuation with Russia is ALL ABOUT RATINGS. Bonifield further admits that entire narrative is “bullsh**” and that President Trump has good reason to be upset about the “witch hunt” against him.

Many Republicans already believed that CNN had “jumped the shark” and moved from news reporting to story telling, but this video confirms most of our worst suspicions.

“Could be bullshit. I mean, it’s mostly bullshit right now,” Bonifield, says in the latest Project Veritas investigation when asked about the Russia collusion story. “Like, we don’t have any giant proof. Then they say, well there’s still an investigation going on. And you’re like, yeah, I don’t know. If they were finding something we would know about it. The way these leaks happen, they would leak it. They’d leak. If it was something really good, it would leak…. The leaks keep leaking and there’s so many great leaks, and it’s amazing. I just refuse to believe that if they had something really good like that that wouldn’t leak because we’ve been getting all these other leaks. So, I just feel like they don’t really have it but they want to keep digging. And so I think the president is probably right to say, like, look you are witch hunting me. You have no smoking gun. You have no real proof.

Yes, you heard him right. The people at CNN know that President Trump likely hasn’t done anything wrong, but they continue to pretend that he has.

Later in the video Bonifield cuts to the heart of what is really going on at CNN and explains why they keep pushing story lines they know are probably false. The leadership at the network is hunting for better ratings and more money. Bonifeld, who has worked at CNN as a reporter and producer for over 15 years, explains:

Our ratings are incredible right now…

My boss, I shouldn’t say this, my boss yesterday we were having a discussion about this dental shoot and he goes and he was just like I want you to know what we are up against here, and he goes, just to give you some context, President Trump pulled out of the climate accords and for a day and a half we covered the climate accords. And the CEO of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we’re done with it let’s get back to Russia…

It’s a business. People are like the media has an ethical … But, all the nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school, you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business. Especially cable news. Cable news isn’t the New York Times, and it’s not even like NBC News. I mean NBC News still gets 20 million viewers a night. Cable news is getting a million. So, they got to do what they got to do to make their money.”

Bonifield even explains how CNN management directs the producers to cover breaking news as they need to but then to quickly pivot back to the Russia angle. As Bonifield says in the video, “Trump is good for business right now.”

What will CNN’s big anti-Trump names say now? Whether it’s the uber-liberal Chris Cuomo (brother of liberal NY Governor Andrew Cuomo) on the morning show, or the massively biased Brian Stelter who pretends to be an ombudsmen for the network on his Reliable Sources show, or the ardently leftist Don Lemon who routinely attacks President Trump, or any of the other liberals that CNN employs as hosts and presenters… they all have a biased story to tell.

In fact a recent Harvard study of mainstream news reporting of the Trump administration’s First 100 Days found some very troubling truth:

The Harvard scholars analyzed the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and the main newscasts (not talk shows) of CBS, CNN, Fox and NBC during Trump’s initial time in office. They found, to no one’s surprise, that Trump absolutely dominated news coverage in the first 100 days. And then they found that news coverage was solidly negative — 80 percent negative among those outlets studied, versus 20 percent positive.

The numbers for previous presidents: Barack Obama, 41 percent negative, 59 percent positive; George W. Bush, 57 percent negative, 43 percent positive; and Bill Clinton, 60 percent negative, 40 percent positive.

While the media reporting was an incredibly biased 80% negative (even Fox News was 52% negative), CNN went above and beyond in their smearing of our new President.

That said, the coverage of some news organizations was so negative, according to the Harvard study, that it seems hard to argue that the coverage was anywhere near a neutral presentation of facts. Assessing the tone of news coverage, the Harvard researchers found that CNN’s Trump coverage was 93 percent negative, and seven percent positive. The researchers found the same numbers for NBC.

CNN’s Trump coverage was 93% negative… and that isn’t including their liberal talk shows… that’s just NEWS coverage.

If anyone wondered why CNN’s coverage was so negative, now we know, CNN was chasing the almighty dollar with their, and i’m quoting, “bullsh**” narrative.

CNN deserves every attack that comes their way for their biased treatment of Republicans and for their slanderous coverage of President Trump.
