Let me frank here: The 2016 Presidential election was an unmitigated mess, filled to the brim with dirty tricks, extraneous characters, and cockamamy schemes.
We have the liberal left to thank for at least some of these issues. The extent of their collusion with the mainstream media, and perhaps even the FBI has been the stuff of legend.
Memos written by former FBI director James Comey reveal that CNN may have helped orchestrate a possible setup of then-president-elect Donald Trump.
According to multiple published reports, the memos seem to indicate that a meeting Comey had with Trump was prompted by pressure from CNN and then was used to launch the media frenzy over the anti-Trump dossier, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Mollie Hemingway at The Federalist writes:
In multiple memos, Comey specifically mentioned that CNN had the dossier and wanted a “news hook” that would enable the network to report on its most salacious allegations even though they had not been verified.
This concerning revelation is enough to have even the most level-headed of political observers reaching for their tinfoil hats, but what Joe Biden has to add could put us over the edge.
In her new book “Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns, and One Intact Glass Ceiling,” New York Times reporter Amy Chozick described how Biden told the White House press corps that he wanted to run but thought that the Clintons would sabotage him.
He said something like “you guys don’t understand these people,” according to an excerpt in the Daily Beast. “The Clintons will try to destroy me.” Some, like Times columnist Maureen Dowd, floated Biden as a possible choice for Democratic contender.
Biden told Oprah Winfrey last year that he thought he was the most qualified to be president in 2016 and that he regretted not being in that position instead of Trump. And in a poll released last year, Biden beat Trump by double digits in a 2020 election match-up.
This oddly ominous comment comes on the heels of a similarly bizarre statement from Hillary Clinton becoming available, in which she alludes to a proverbial “them” when explaining why she wasn’t allowed to be President.
Americans are growing increasingly weary of the U.S. government for a number of reasons over the course of the last two years, ironically due to the incredibly damaging leaks perpetrated against the Hillary Clinton campaign by the folks at Wikileaks. Biden’s insistence on the danger of the Clinton family also fits in nicely with the growing concern over Hillary Clinton’s involvement with the death of several of her political enemies, including the still-unsolved murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.
