Bernie Sanders, Socialist?

Bernie Sanders recently bought a $600,000 “camp” on the Lake Champlain Islands in Vermont, which he will use as a summer home. How does this square with Bernie Sanders’ socialist philosophy?

Representative Sanders has been a life-long socialist and not only proud of it, but loud about it.  He thinks peace, tranquility and paradise can only be found by making us all the same.  The man who invents what would make him a billionaire in a free market economy should only get as much as the guy who takes care of his yard after having dropped out of high school in Bernie’s world concept.  Nonetheless…

Bernie’s new $600,000 “camp” on the Lake Champlain Islands in Vermont has four bedrooms and 500 feet of beautiful shorefront access on the banks of Lake Champlain. Sanders and his wife will keep their home in Burlington, as well as their fashionable home on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Trending: Art of the Meal

Bernie will be quite welcome as a member of the Champlain Islands community. The general store down the road from his “camp” serves a turkey sandwich with Provolone cheese, called “Feel the Bern” in his honor.  It features a “HUGE” roll, because Bernie says the word “huge” often and provocatively.

“It’s not fair that the billionaire class controls 99% of the bread,” reads the sandwich’ description on the menu. “Here’s a sandwich for the rest of us … to keep us nourished until everything cool is free!”  That says a lot of the public perception of Bernie’s idea of “…the way it oughta be.”

This legend is the key to the Bernie Sanders’ candidacy:  “Everything is free with Bernie Sanders!”  But, he did not invent it.  That was done by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, put into high gear by Lyndon Baynes Johnson, and heard in delight like a Mozart minuet by every Democrat since.  This history is not taught in our schools, as examination of the concept quickly reveals it is not supportable. The subject of economics is not a science, math or all that difficult and the last thing the Democrats want is a people who understand it.  The folks like Geitner, Bernanke and Yellin who are lauded for understanding “…the most dismal science” while being neither a “science” or “dismal,” but very simple and easily understood.  It is messy, but properly dissected and presented is amazingly simple.
Meanwhile back a the Sanders “camp” wife, Jane O’Meara Sanders, says the  family is excited about the “camp.”  Mrs. Sanders is the former President of Burlington College, which closed due to the “crushing weight of the debt” incurred under her mismanagement.  Apparently economics is a challenge for the Sanders tribe.  They are not witless, but dedicated to the flawed concept of socialism.

Bernie Sanders is getting mocked on social media for buying a luxury vacation home after spending his life railing on rich people.  We do not find this behavior inconsistent with Democrats, the party that came from the ashes of Civil War slave owners who gave us the Ku Klux Klan with state Governors “standing in the schoolhouse door,” and US Senators in their membership showing us how politically correct they were as white sheets and hoods hung in their closets!  Their economics are as false as those of  Bernie Sanders, socialist.
