When Donald Trump stormed into Washington back in January, Americans were not sure exactly what to expect.
Trump, the businessman turned politician, was set to be an unconventional President any way you sliced it. His status as a Washington outsider, combined with his extreme views on the filth and vermin that had infected our government, had the real estate mogul poised to swoop into the D.C. swamp and start picking off the political stalwarts.
This was much easier said than done, however, as the President has been met with friction and resistance at nearly every turn. Of course, the democrats and their progressive pals have been at the forefront of the anti-Trump movement, but, more seriously worrisome has been the large faction of turncoat “republicans” willing to defy their own constituents to side with the American political left over The Donald.
That is why Breitbart’s Steve Bannon is preparing for war come 2020.
“Breitbart News Executive Chairman and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon declared a ‘season of war’ against the GOP establishment in an electrifying speech at the Values Voter Summit Saturday, warning Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell: ‘these folks are coming for you.’
“’There’s a time and season for everything, and now it’s a season of war against the GOP establishment,’ Bannon told the gathering in Washington, DC. ‘It’s no longer acceptable to come and pat you on the head and tell you everything’s going to be fine [if you] just get these guys an office.’
“Bannon is planning a full-scale assault in the 2018 midterms, reportedly planningchallenges on every GOP senator up for re-election (except for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz) and is believed to be eyeing a number of House and gubernatorial races as well.
“’This is not my war. This is our war. And y’all didn’t start it. The establishment started it,’ he said.”
Bannon’s rhetoric is nothing new, but his ferocity is.
The one-time White House strategist willingly left his position in Washington to return to the front lines of the free press in order to spread the truth about what’s happening in Washington D.C. The establishment’s undeniable hatred for the President, along with their unkempt willingness to expunge their own morality to oppose the Commander in Chief will likely continue to foment dissonance in our national society. If Bannon and his colleagues can continue to balance the mainstream media’s horridly slanted bias, our country may stand a chance of avoiding the radical left’s hope for a New Civil War.
