Armed Robber Gets More Than he Bargained For at Clothing Store [VIDEO]

An armed robber entered a clothing store in Memphis, Tennessee, brandishing his firearm and demanding people’s money. A gun carrier – who is believed to be a store employee – shot the armed robber, who later died in the hospital.

An unidentified 25-year-old armed robber entered the clothing store Extreme Gear on Lamar Avenue in Memphis in the middle of the afternoon, and before he could steal anything, he was shot by someone inside. The suspect was transported to the hospital in critical condition but died from his gunshot wound.

Local residents and customers had little sympathy for the armed robber.

Reverend Amos Connors – who was there to pick up a suit – told WMC Action News 5: “The young people don’t believe in nothing but to take, and that’s it. God didn’t put us here to take from one another. I’m not going to take nothing from you, because it don’t belong to me.”

Another resident offered this advice for people like the armed robber: “They need to get a job. Get a job, stay out of trouble.”

Resident Charlene Granbberry – who lives near where the attempted armed robbery occurred – sounded off to WREG: “For you to come out here and try to take something from somebody? No! They aren’t going to let you take it! No, folks aren’t going to let you take their stuff from them.”
